Daniel Dawson was ranked #4 at Rajamaderamn and lost on points to the champion at that weight (99% sure).
JWP has achieved a lot, I'm not sure how high he was ranked at Lumpinee, but he'll be able to tell us that if he reads this!. He has fought on the King's Birthday show 3 times, the biggest Muay Thai show in the world, the crowd it attracts is incredible.
Both have enjoyed success in Japan as well.
I think these two have acheived the most in Thailand and are in my opinion Australia's most travelled/respected Muay Thai fighters.

I was lucky enough to be sponsored to live in Thailand for four years living and training with one of the super stars of Thailand.
I won my first 9 fights straight when I first went to Thailand and made the front cover of the number one selling magazine. I was ranked number 4 at Lumpinee stadium in 97, I had to fight Orono my tenth fight and if I had won the next fight would have been for a Lumpinee title. Orono beat me the first time cutting me 21 stitches but we rematched in the year 2000 and I beat him for the IMF world title in front of 100,000 in Bangkok. In 97 I was also voted strongest westerner for the year by Muay Siam magazine. I have been lucky enough to fight on the Kings birthday 4 times winning the last three years in a row, the only westerner to do so. Last year at the Kings birthday I as also presented with a jacket of Honor for training, fighting and having Thai culture.
So far I have had 55 Muay Thai fights, 25 of them being Thai's.
I am very happy with what I have done in my career and if I had the chance to do it over I wouldn't change a thing, expect try not to get cut by elbows so much.
Daniel Dawson has also done well, he keeps telling me he is going to win a Lumpinee title. I want a photo with him and his belt if he does.
Hope that helped Royce, don't mean to sound my own trumpet but its a chance to remember the good ol day's.
Take care,
John Wayne
