Which Fighter in any weight division has been the best achiever for 2002? There has been so many great fighters out there this year!

I would love to hear your opinions!

I'm sure there are a lot of Queenslanders that have done really well, but unfortunately I keep missing most of the fights on Fox.

Chapman had a great start at the beginning of the year.
Dawson has done realy well winning Judgement Day again.
But I seriously have to say Ozkan. I think he's changed a lot of peoples opponions defeating Tai, Supercharge, then the accidental stoppage, and finally defeating Tsakonas. It's been his best year of the last several. Certainly been a busy one for him. And now taking on Adam Watt.

In the amateurs, Fadi Hassan has done pretty well. He's also been busy and won every fight I've seen him in.

My vote goes to Gurkan Ozkan. Last year we saw him try at heavyweight and people said he failed. This year Gurkan has changed as a fighter mentally, physically and is a much smarter fighter.

His surpise knockout over Supercharge and the surprise of seeing Gurkan change his style against Tsokonas. I have never seen so many leg kicks!! Gurkan is more humble and I believe he is now a much happier fighter and is alot more well spoken.

Gurkan is a true ambassador for the sport of Kickboxing in 2002.

Well my vote also goes to Gurkan Ozkan. And im sure everyone one of you guys should also think Gurkan. He has proven alot of people wrong, he has achieved things that nobody else can achive, his got a huge heart, fighting Adam, October 21st is a very big step, and i am pretty sure he can get a shocking result by knocking him out, his just had an excellent year, lets hope he keeps it up.

I would have to agree that Gurkan Ozkan would have to be the fighter of the year...He will fight anyone anytime...

Alan, I think the fight in Sydney is October the 11th.

Not certain though.

For me it would be SOren Monkontong. He has come on in leaps this year and completly dominated the super eight recently.
