Good morning everyone,
We're currently putting together the latest IK mag and I need some help and feedback.
I need to know who you think will win out of Jenk Behic V John Wayne Parr and why.
I also need a few opinions on Ozkan V Watt, but this topic has already been discussed in a previous post so I'll be having a look at that. However, any new ideas are welcomed.
Thanks,
Megan

I truly believe it will be one hell of a fight! Two of Australia best Work Horses will go hammer and tong for the full duration of the fight! The never say die attitude of both fighters could have it as potential the best stouche this year! I cant see any fighter having a dis-advantage, BUT Jenk's fitness is his enemy and obviously his biggest weakness. I hope his loss to Zambidis will put some extra drive into his training and "SHOULD" prevail with his skill and intelligance as a figher. However, JWP can never look down upon. I want Jenk to look good and get back up there in the action!

This highly awaited contest should spark interest amongst international fight fans. The union of these two pugilist specialists, shall determine who is among the elite of all prize fighters throughout Australia.

With Jenk Behic's Turkish heritage, he is sure to conjure support from his lovely homeland. His vast experience in the kickboxing and K-1 ranks (with exciting contests with Michael Zambidis, Prince Amir and Mike Cope) should see him utilise his heavy hands and flashy kicks, forcing Parr into a solid contest.

The keys to victory for Behic should be to keep his distance, albeit pressuring Parr by employing a myriad of leg kicks; keeping his punches short and straight, and avoid engaging in the clinch.

John Wayne Parr, since making the jump into conventional boxing has been more determined than ever to prove he's the goods.
With a solid and somewhat controversial outing against the experienced Nadar Hamdan (under boxing rules), Parr has enjoyed time training and fighting overseas. This, in conjunction with his training in Thailand should account for great conditioning and experience, which could make the difference.

Under K-1 rules, Parr should be stronger in the grapple, delivering a plethora of blistering knees to the ribs, stomach and legs of the lesser experienced Behic. Should Behic elect to fight from the outside, Parr's boxing experience should keep him modest.

Parr should be able to pick his opponent apart provided he takes his time and doesn't fight Behic's fight. I see a late stoppage or points win for the man they call "John Wayne" in one of the most exciting bouts of the year.

Guys,

Please if anyone hears anything about this fight, would you please fill us in.

It looks like Glenn is thinking the same as I, probably after Wayne's post on AX.

I truely hope we get to see Parr Vs Behic and then Wayne staying on in Aus for K1 Max.

JWP, it's the perfect opportunity to bring your new wife over to our beautiful country. I'm constantly reading posts from our American friends on Ax about just how lucky we in Aus are because of the quality of fighters and quality of fights we are lucky enough to be able to see live.

I'm sure the U.S is a great place to live, but reckon Australia has to be the first choice for an active Kickboxing couple.
I also realy honestly expected Wayne to take out the K1 Max in Japan by way of making it there through winning the Aus Event. I was sure we'd see Wayne taking home the Japan purse.

I have my fingers crossed.
But the thread on Ax has me concerned that we won't be seeing Wayne fighing as much any more.

Hi Everyone,
Will be leaving for Australia next week to come home to start training back at Boonchu gym before the fight with Jenk. We are fighting at 72kg under K-1 rules. Jenk has had a few fights with knee's now so it should be a good fight.
Wish it was with elbows just to make it a little more interesting.
Will be good to fight on the Gold Coast again.
See ya in a few weeks,
John Wayne
