I'll share with you any info I receive.

Hey Lucy, will you still be at the K1 in NZ on April 30th?
PNG News
The Melbourne fight is the opening of a busy A1 World Combat Cup kickboxing calendar where Nandex will travel around the world with promoter Tarik Solak.
President of World Kickboxing Federation Lucy Sassen Tui said she would also be traveling with Nandex and Solak as event manager.
After the Melbourne fight, Nandex and his team will fly across Himalaya Mountains to Istanbul, Turkey on April 16, then to France on April 30.
He will also take on his opponents in Dubai, Middle East, in May before winding down in Shanghai, China in June.
Tui said she was personally impressed with Nandex’s performances during the last fight in November.

Well thats interesting news, I was asked by Tarik if I wanted to go overseas with him as a guest or to help with the offiicials on the night, in the first week in January, but alot of things have changed since then. having spoke to him a couple of days ago he will be letting me know in a couple of days of the outcome.
Regards

Sorry guys,my mistake.
It says do not miss the fight between Stan and Gurkan but what they meant was they were going to show it on tv(the old fight) just to get everybody in the mood before the April 16th.
Apologies.

hahaha thats right, they showed the replay on Turkish television, they have been actually advertising Ozkan all over Turkey, there is huge support over there for him, and his being commercialised very well, every week they showing old footage on his fights, and interviews leading up to his fight.

lol, thats funny! tarik should have held no respect 1 in turkey! too little too late now to promote ozkan! any knowledgeable fight fan in turkey would know that, but then again they might be 10 years behind the rest of the world!

Mike is fighting a turk in june but its going to be in Greece.
16th of April..K1 Max 2 weeks after..dnt think he will be there to fight. Maybe to preview his next fight.
Serkan Yilmaz is good but has lost a few decisions lately.
The initial plans for the Turkish show was to have the combat cup to see who qualifies to fight mike. Prince Amir and Kadeer Marouff are listed for the event with Yilmaz.
Good card.

amir, marouff and yilmaz are poor opposition for zambidis! tarik needs to get parr or masato to make things interesting.

Tarik will NEVER be able to get JWP and or Masato to fight Zambo...ONLY K1 will we see that...
JWP & Masato would want, deserve (and get) more $$$ at the respective stages in their careers than Tarik would want to put up.
Just MHO....
BTW, wasn't Kader Marouff brought to Australia to "destroy" Iron Mike !!!
Why hasn't it happened....maybe he has too much PRIDE to lay down like many before him have..<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>...

a bit late if it's only 16 days away and they haven't got stadiums etc confirmed......IMHO..
all the promotion about it, on the World Wide Web....and now it's off.
I "wonder" why this is...<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yes.......
Here is the Marouf story so far......
Found his way to Australia, looked up Paul Democolie, and then both went to nuggets gym to have a work out.Apparently everyone was blown away by his skill, and Tarik jumps on the new gun and announces that he has some kind of machine that will KO Zambidis.
2 years on.... he has fought once, cause nobody wants to fight him.
When is this guy (Marouf) going to fight????????
I for one do not take notice of s hit like " nobody wants to fight me"
and now...... we have the " A1 " getting cancelled????????
Have the wheels started to fall off the " Super Promotor's wagon"?????
DEFINATELY !!!!!!!!!!<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>
cheers Spada

If they don't change the date again,it's going to be on May 14th.

zdkbushido:
"JWP & Masato would want, deserve (and get) more $$$ at the respective stages in their careers than Tarik would want to put up."
Im not going to get into the fine details but Tarik offered one of the two more than what he would get for appearing at a k1 show.
Further more Marrouf is about 33 years old and has fought once in 2 years. Firstly not in his prime, secondly wont last the distance..hurt mike..hmm, put your hands up if you have seen anyone hurt mike?
And some little turkish guy my mate knows has a connection in broady and told me the show was off before it was on lol.
two things zdk,
tarik offered jwp MORE than what K1 pays him (don't let personal b*tching get in the way of facts) and more than he's worth to be quite honest. In a rematch, Zambidis would carry the vast majority of the promotion, he would put the most butts on seats.
Second, you insinuated that people have been "laying down' fore Mike Zambidis. Meaning they have been takingf dives. Please tell us exactly who you are referring to mate? Pretty dirty little insult there. Do you know Mike? Does he need people to lay down for him?

Its great for mike to have critics like that..some cant gather how this guy can get a ko win in the majority of his fights...and do it with ease.
Tony, good post mate, Zambidis has layed a few out in Europe, and did anyone see the Kraus fight..he does ok in the S1 and K1, Mike nearly threw his head off with the punch. The most talented fighter on the K1 circuit layed out..what more does mike have to do?
