trust me nothug you have absolutely no idea why i am unable to compete this weekend. i will be fighting john very soon but it was not possible this weekend. yes he is one of the best fighters here and i have the world of respect for him but i do not fear him the slightest bit.

Hey Nothug, I would also love to see John fight Zambo and I think that John would have a good chance of winning. I don't agree with you slagging Chris Johnson though - he just fought and won against Gurkan so I don't think hes scared. He said that he has his reasons for not fighting so lets leave it at that. I also think that Lucy / Tarik baiting him is not a smart thing. Do they think that they are the only promoters going around?

Stop being fools by slandering Sniper. He has his reasons, as did JWP for not fighting Zambo (ie financial, preparedness, injury etc). There are a million reasons why fights don't occur and I would suggest a guy like Sniper, fear would be well down on the list.

Lucy, you should know better...of all people. I don't hear you deriding Peter Graham and other Solak/Tui contracted fighters who make their usual withdrawals.

Try reading the Nick Stone article on the Bulldog site about the 10 mistakes when pro fighting (ie when NOT to take a fight). Any one of these could apply to Chris, calling him a coward is pathetic and an insult to a top fighter who has entertained us on many occasions (even tho he/was is a kiwi)<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yes Sniper has his reasons and we respect that, as his manager and Alex Tui as his trainer we feel that Chris could have fought
John Halford, to fight John now would be the time as a manager / trainers view he is capable of fighting John now he has fought him before and knows what John is like .... if he was to fight him when John has momentum it would be harder for Chris that is why I would have wanted him to fight John and Chris knows our reasoning on that... Chris needed a bit more mental preparation to fight John and 2weeks was not enough......It has nothing to do with Tarik Solak , and I was not baiting him to fight I was just letting you guys know it is his decision not our decision why he was not fighting....regardless how we feel, it is the fighter who is
hopping in the ring...
Chris will now be fighting in NZ K1 Anzac hopefully getting him a boxing fight in between....
