View Full Version : 8 Man Heavyweight GP - Adelaide
Just had a conversation with Adelaide's leading promoter Ethan Shepp. He is organising a MASSIVE SHOW for May 22nd at Etsa Park in Adelaide. Here is a list of fighters he has in the 8 Man GP:
Paul "Sting" Slowinski(SA)
Hewari Terangi (NZ)
Andrew Peck (NZ)
Sio Vetali (NZ)
Chris Christopolidis (Vic)
Mitch Ohello (Qld)
Peter Samson (NSW)
Nathan Briggs (Qld)
Modified Thai Rules in Quarter and Semi. Full Thai Rules in Final!!
Now that is one awesome card!!!! Please note that is it still early stages and card may change. I hope many visitors from interstate will come down for this one and support their favourite fighter.

full Thai rules in the final??
Fark, Sting will slice and dice that lot with elbows for sure.
I don't think some of those guys have thrown an elbow in their lives!

I think that Nathan Briggs would have thrown more then a few in his time.If not in his fights.... definately in training with Paul.
Looks like a K1 Oceania lineup minus a couple.... but I like the "S1" concept of no elbows to the final. We don't see enough full thai rules amongst the big boys.

no argument there Spada, hence why I said 'some'...Can you imagine poor old Chris Godzilla dodging one of the Sting's best to the temple? Ouch!
Nasty Boy will be interesting to see, been pretty idle on the kickboxing front of late focussing on boxing hasn't he?

the thought of Paul unloading on Chris is scarey. The sting has way too much experience with elbows.Whoever draws Chris in the 1st round
will be for some leg punishment.Mitch O'Hello knows he only needs one decent shot at the sting to end his night.
Nathan Briggs, haven't heard much of him for the past year or so,I heard he was training in MMA,but he has alot of experience. When he is on his game,he is more then capable of going all the way,but in the past he has promised much, and not lived up to it.
This lineup is by far the most open heavyweight 8 man I have seen. The Sting has to be favourite, but with additions like Pete Samson and Andrew Peck,we might see a few upsets.
Congrats to Shepp promotions if this goes ahead.
cheers Spada

I wouldn't mind seeing a 5x3 min round fight under full thai rules between Nathan Briggs and Paul Slowinski, it would be very interesting. Nice line up btw.
