Mate,
On another thread you mentioned you purchased the Rising Promotions DVD's but there was no commentary...
Was it worth the money !!!
Hard to imagine watching but not listeneing...also what was the actual footage like, was it from the Foxtel grabs / filming or other..
Look forward to your feedback.
Cheers.

Bushi,
yeah, i bgt them all. Difficult to answer as some of the footage actually DOES have the 2 clowns commentating but it does not appear to be the Fox footage.
The boys told me it was the Japanese release footage, not sure if it was some Fox and some independent filming, but generally quality is fair to good.
Don't worry there is no Japanese chatter. You can hear the crowd noise, music, ring announcer etc, and occasionally the boys commentating.
I'd rate it as VCR quality footage. I guess the main thing is that some fantastic fights are there which you will not get to see again or keep on a lasting file media (ie DVD). I think was worth the money...if you are nice and decide to buy them all you might even find Roy might give you a discount! (sorry Roy).

I bought a heap of the Dvd's from Roy and Ray as well and agree with Voice. They are not as slick as Foxtel and generally just one Camera but there is some great fights and fights that weren't shown on Foxtel. Actually I am just watching the TS2 Chris White fight from Xplosion 8 as I type.
All in all they are pretty good value. I also have the Knees of Fury 6 dvd which you can buy from Sportzblitz. While the footage and is sharper and it includes the foxtel commentary The over alll production (dvd authoring, Chapters etc) is much better on the rising dvds.
Well hope this helps..
Oh and Voice, my copy of Xplosion 5 has Japanese commentary... Its actually quite funny!! Cant understand it but still funny.

JA, the boys had run out of XP5 and 6, and only got them last week, so still to watch...
I recorded XP8 from Fox the other night in digital, what a difference digital onto DVD makes.
