LENNOX LEWIS has announced he's giving up his International Boxing Federation heavyweight title because he sees no interest in a fight with the division's No.1 contender, Chris Byrd.
The move appears to mean that Lewis, who is also the World Boxing Council champion, has no plans to retire, having soundly beaten Mike Tyson in eight rounds in June. He turned 37 three days ago.
