This is a great Idea Michael,
Letting the fans ask a few questions. I wonder if all the people that spoke negativly about Tarik and his product will ask questions now (i doubt it). I for one like attending all his Melbourne shows as they are always exciting and lets be honest the place where you get to see the BIG names. Without Tarik we would have never gotten to see people like Ozkan, Nezif and Zambidis. So all the best on the A1 and future ventures.


Firstly, We have seen you produce many superstars in the world of kickboxing, do you have any new fighters that we should be on the look out for??

Secondly, How does Gurkan Ozkan and Mike Zambidis fit into your upcomming plans? Also what happend in your talks about a boxing match between Gurkan and Danny Green?

You are going to be using some HUGE venues this year, are there any BIG match ups you are looking at producing?

From a promoters point of view, what are the key differences between each of the state-wide markets of Aus that determine success of the shows?

OR if that is a confusing way of asking the question:

What factors are most important in determining the success of an event and how do those factors differ from state to state?

2. Will the new "A1" compete with knees at some stage in Melbourne and other cities?

3.Will we get to see the turkish fighter,Musafa Dede fight on one of your promos?

Not really a question, get together with Ray Matsumura come to an agreement and let JWP & Zambo go at it under K-1 rules, and non of the 3 rnd bull**** make it a 6 to 12 rounder ill let u boys decide.

Zambo would struggle with a knee technician like JWP...sure he won on K1 Max with a flying knee.....but he hasn't fought ANYONE world class for a while and won !

Im a victorian and Zambo through and though but lets be realistic under modified thai or full thai rules he would sruggle against the queenslanders, kickboxing diffrent story.

Ozkan not even worth mentioning.

The HH im my opinion dont think would be that good under thai rules he likes to keep his distance for the round house kicks and other kickes he likes doing.

It would be good to see a victorian vs queensland show insted of whaching the same fighters from the same gym fighting or sparring eachather <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>show in show out.

The challenge has to be put out there. Instead of bringing unknown fighters from other countries to fill spots on your promotions? Instead have having a vitually identical card of fighters on each show? Why not work with the Queensland and NSW promoters to put these state vs state promotions together? Politics aside. It's what the sport wants and needs!
This level of debate is pointless if we don't ever see it happen.
If Zambo knew he was going to fight under full Thai rules don't you think he would train differently for that? I'm sure he has the skills to win but how can he claim to be the best if he's not willing (or not contractually obligated!)to take on anyone in the country under any KB rules?
Instead of inventing a whole new type of promotion (which will be great if it takes off but we already have K1), why not build up Oz kickboxing. I guarantee if a Qld vs Vic show was put together with all top fighters, you could fill Vodafone (or any stadium in Brissy) easily!
I guess we come to the real point. We need promoters in Vic that promote Vic fighters not for the money, but for the development of the fighters. Maybe the real difference between Qld and Vic is not the quality of the fighters but the quality of the promoters.

Just a little something to think about!

Mate, all I'm saying is that all Zambo gets in Australia is good sparring sessions, he hasn't gone the distance for some time o'seas...not like JWP, who everyone would love to see in a rematch..

JWP is CONSTANTLY fighting WORLD CLASS fighters, ALL over the world, Zambo seems to be based here now sparring every now and then for Tarik.

Why would you put the likes of Daniel or Paul Shearing in with Prince
Amir and Michael Zambidis and then announce that Greg Foley isn't ready for Zambidis and would need at least a year to get to that level?????

Nothing against the Shearing boys... but I would rate Foley alot higher.

You have brought Zambidis to QLD to defend his world title against
"F16" under kickboxing rules.When will we see Mike fight under Thai rules???
You have put Sam Soliman in against Sakmongkol in his 1st fight under
full thai rules and Zambidis's mentor Stan was a kickboxer who fought for and won a world title under thai rules, so why isn't Zambidis
capable of taking fights under these rules???

I felt like crawling into a hole when that fight vs Zam occurred. At that point Tarik lost all remaining credibility (even more than his promoter refereeing decisions<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>)

The best we can hope for is the 2 co-inciding. I am more than happy for a good program costing a fair price. I would have happily paid double for Xplosion and saved my pennies by attending one less of the Melb or Sydney programs.

believe me, Tarik DOES read this forum. His paths have crossed with some members of this forum and he is generally very well informed and pretty upset about the general picture painted of him (I admit to being a vocal contributor).

The difference being, other promoters take the time and interest to address fans concerns and suggestions, keeping them informed.

I am sure at the very least many of us would show him some appreciation if he took the time to post occasionally. Very few forum members are unnecessarily rude or opinionated if someone makes an effort to raise discussion, whatever their view.

Tarik is computer illiterate he does not know much about computers his brother is the whiz on computers...He does not seem to care for them to much...that is why you will never get him on the internet answering posts... ( he has told me that himself I have asked him about why he does not answer some of the posts)..so I guess you are going to have to wait until the IK comes out to get any answers...

just went to tarik's website he has revamped the site, its all new and updated (very impressive i must say) very flashy!.

one thing that i found interesting was a small snipit on the opening page iside the site about the 100 hours of kickboxing, good to see all the past events have been saved, lets hope for some DVDs.

well i would expect nothing less from a man of your extreme fighting knowledge and skill. watch a couple fights and your a REAL hard man! you watch REAL fights! makes you feel masculine eh?
have you ever been in a REAL fight grasshopper? or just sit on your bourbon swilling arse and judge whats REAL from the safe side of the ropes?

i guaratee i have been to more fights australia wide and abroad than you've seen on tv, but i still know that, as you say, i'm not a REAL figth man until i dress in pyjamas and make whooping noises.
