Shane Meads wife here, Mardiair. I was just going over all the negative and positive messages here on one of Shane's favourite sites that he has always enjoyed logging onto. Firstly don't believe everything the media has to say they always have a way of twisting the truth and blowing things way out of proportion. Shane has made his mistakes don't get me wrong, but is willing to pay for them. As for steroids Shane Meads got to where he is because he is a very dedicated, disiplined and strong fighter, who absolutely loves the sport. Steroids played no part what so ever in his rise to success. When it comes to Kickboxing Shane is a very competitive, true sportsman who has earned every right to be where he is. He doesn't believe in cutting corners by taking enhancement drugs. I would just like to say on behalf of my husbands supporters please continue to support him he is a true champion who in time will be back in the ring bigger and better than ever. For those who have only negative comments to say you really don't know any of the facts so it's best you don't comment on them. Because Shane is a World Champion media thrive on making an example of him and the sport. Thanks guys this is all i'll have to say on the subject...........

I have heard through the grape vine that, Baby Meads was 9pound 2 ounces, not sure of the length. I am not sure if that is correct.

I had the good fortune to train with Shane a few years ago, he looks the same now as he did then, and he's still in the same weight divisions, lightheavy/cruiser...he's not on the juice and never has been, why is that when certain fighters train like trojans and become extremely cut (and sometimes big,depending on natural weight of course), theres always someone pointing the finger saying "he's on steroids!!", for the non believers, it is possible to train hard enough so you can go full power for 5 rounds, dosent happen overnight,and you'll need a good trainer who knows (not thinks he knows), and after 4 years of training like that..then you'd be cut, and if your a big fella, you'd look like Shane Meads...and someone would be saying (behind your back) that your on octane boost as well..haha.

You can tell by their physiques. If they move up in weight & are still ripped like Meads, Ozkan before then yes they were on gear. If they move up & are carrying more fat than no like Suttie. Im sorry, but thats just plain ignorance and regurgitated gym talk. Its simply not true. I started training as a skinny teenager and by the time i was 21 i decided i needed to get a little bigger. I was 6'2 and only 75-78 kg. Anyway, i started weight training, but when i say started, i mean i thoroughly researched the best methods, I even spoke to elite professionals and took a course by the international sports science association to qualify me as a personal trainer. I then began my training and i put on 25-30 kg of mostly muscle ( with some fat, although it didnt show) in 3 months. Yes, i broke the 100 kg barrier and my strength shot through the roof, doubling and tripling in some instances. Over the next year or so, i kept adding weight till i reached 115 kg at 15 % bodyfat. so you could say i was about 100 kg lean body weight. Not to bad for someone that never took steroids and only trained balls to the wall and ate like a mule. I've since dropped back down to the 95-100 kg mark but am leaner than before and fitter able to get back into muay thai and keep my fitness up to an acceptable level.

Its absolute rubbish to say that because guys who put on fat whilst moving up weight classes they are not on steroids and guys who stay lean are.

Physiological systems differ between us all. If i so much as look at starchy hugh glycemic index carbs such as rice and pasta i feel sluggy and tired and put on weight. Others burn it up like crazy and it doesnt affect them, point is, bodies are different and some burn fat more efficiently than others. Looking at meads, hes not an overly huge fellow for a heavyweight so wether or not he took steroids is not really that evident unless ofcourse your the drug sampler machine incarnate and have analysed his blood. So stop speculating. Those drugs could of been in his house for any reason, ie selling, holding for someone else, planted on him..... who knows??? Cops lie through their asses always planting **** on people to make their cases stronger. Im not defending him but im not about to accuse him just like that.

If you want to comment on drugs, or how to tell if people are on drugs then make another thread but you might want to first check what your putting into your mouth first. Food is the biggest drug you can put into your body and if you have any idea about physiology and biochemistry you would know how something like eating three innocent bananas can send your body into a rollecoaster of chaotic imbalance, much like many drugs do. infact, something you all enjoy at night with the boys, or at a fight or watching the footy game is just as bad for you as any drug is, the only difference being it is legal because it serves the interests of the government.

Im not a bodybuilder, bodybuilders have no idea how to train effectively, nor eat effectively. any serious strength and conditioning coach will tell you that. I went from 63kg to 88 naturally, so yes, it is possible to put on 40kgs naturally. It took me three years, but then again I'm not the most genetically gifted person. It's amazing what hard work and right diet can do for your physique!

I've recently returned from overseas to hear the bad news which was brought to me by the so called media but still don't believe it Police + Media = Bull S%$$5

However your comments posted about Shane Meads in relations to what you hear in the Media so you have nothing better to do then start talking **** on what you have heard or read grow up learn facts and truth before anything.
Typical low life bums that sit in front of a monitor 24 hours(Mind you I’m not that bum I’m in a internet café on my break) a day.
Nothing better to do than to listen to Media reports(As Posted In Shane Meads Topic) and people should know that media is more often then not incorrect with details.

Hint:Don’t always believe what you hear or read in the Media they always seem to make something so small look so big in words.

you know, carl william's wife once stated on national tv that the police were after the wrong man and that her husband was just a normal, suburban dad and not the drug dealer he is. moral of the story? people are sceptical by nature because we are fed bulls*it all the time and EVERyBODY is made out to be mr.wonderful. this is by no means a judgment on shane as i have no bloody idea whats going on with him, nor do i care. but you his close family and friends should stick together and get through it, regardless of his guilt or innocense and dont worry about trying to convince us the outsiders of how great a guy he is. we'll just observe from a distance, time has a way of telling the truth.
