Rumour has it that Mike Zambides has signed with Promoter Peter Maniatis(Formerly Keith Ellis Co/Promoter) and will be a stable mate to Nick Tetoros in his foray into Professional Boxing. He is to be appearing i think in December. Has anyone heard news of this??It was posted on the Australian Professional Boxing site which is fairly legit.
I would imagine that he will campaign in the Junior Middlewight division. If this is true he will join other kickboxers who made the switch such as Adam Watt, Paul Briggs,Wayne Parr and Tosca Petridis.
Wayne Parr(with little Amatuer Boxing experience if any) took Nader Hamden the distance in a very close bout which some think that Wayne should have won!!Nader is now ranked No 2 in the world. How do you think Mike would go considering he has had about 50 odd amatuer bouts on the much tougher Euro circuit apart from his kickboxing experience??
Either way -BEST OF LUCK and another win for kickboxing!!What a long way we have come since the mid 80s!!!!

I think Mike would be a killer boxer, and as a professional fighter, it would probably be the right career move. Best money in kickboxing is in Japan, which isn't much compared to the best money in boxing.
