Just got back, thought I'd post the results.
Quarter-finals (3x3 mins. under modified thai rules):
1. Ben "Pixie" Burton beat Travis Davies via decision.
2. "Killer" Kurt Finlayson beat Krongsak Lek via decision.
3. Supachai beat Bruce "The Preacher" Mcfie via decision.
4. Soren Mongkongtong beat ????? Collier via decision.
Semi-finals (3x3 mins. under modified thai rules):
1. Ben "Pixie" Burton beat "Killer" Kurt Finlayson via decision. However, after the 2nd semi-final, Scottie Bannan got on the mic and announced that Pixie pulled out due to a severe cut to the forehead sustained during the match (I think it was a knee, but it could've been a clash of heads, the ref blocked my view.) and therefore, Killer advanced to the grand final.
2. Soren Mongkongtong beat Supachai via decision.
Grand-Final (3x3 mins. under full thai rules):
Soren Mongkongtong beat "Killer" Kurt Finlayson via split decision, Andy Raymond said he won by one point. Appropriately, the best fight of the night.
Other Bouts:
1. Aaron Toohey defeated M16 via 4th round KKO in a bout after the semi-finals and before the grand-final.
2. I can't remember their names (sorry) but a couple of novices fought in a 3 rounder under modified thai rules to kick of the evening.
Kerry "Nugget" McNaught was presented with an award by the WMTC president, I'm not sure of which level though (state, national, oceania).
Andy Raymond said fox sports will be airing the show on the 21st of September. I didn't stick around for what was said after the main-event because I had somewhere to go, so you'll have to catch it on fox sports. Oh yeah, and the ring girls were absolutely gorgeous, and we had the pleasure of sitting right behind them, hehe. All in all, a great night, everybody be sure to check out future SB Promotions, they did an awesome job.
