Payment for fighters

Im just interested in how the whole payment thing works for fighters. And how much do they usually get paid?

Seriously, this is a good question asked before on the forum without any clear responses. As a spectator I would like to know if a fighter gets a decent payday for stepping into the ring!

Exact amounts are not necessary but some sort of $ range would be good. Do some promoters have a reputation for paying more than others e.g. Solak, Matsumura etc.

I have no idea really but i've heard the likes of a $20,000 amount thrown around in conversation but that was a fair while ago & unsure who it was paid/or getting paid by (or what state) or even if that is a decent pay pack for a pro fighter so, like i said i don't really have an idea. Be interested to know too.

Also interested to know, did u start training in newcastle yet?

In OZ, it can be anything from a couple of hundred to a couple of grand. Depends on the level of fighter and the promoter. There is no real money in the sport unless you are a superstar!

Hmmm might have been more like a $2000 amount i heard goin round then....? sounds more like it coz this was in Oz.
