Sounds pretty good Kirik,
except I think I'd rather watch Stan fight someone where there is a history behind them and some past hype.
Stan Vs Dennis Alexio would be incredibly cool if the fight is at all posible.
Stan Vs Mo Smith maybe. Stan actually mentioned Mo during the live chat which this site hosted.
I'd love to see Hunt on the card, but just not fighting Stan. Hunt Vs Bernardo or Hunt Vs Van Damms would be pretty good I think.
Stan wouldn't fight Hunt. Mo Smith revenge would be the best option. Hunt would be too strong for Stan.

You have to remember Stan has been fighting since 1983, peaking at a time when I bet a lot of guys on here were too young or didn't even know the sport! He was at the top of the mountain when Mark wasn't even fighting and is now semi-retired so with the age and wear and tear can he still pull out the moves like he used to? On paper, if Peter Graham could easily putpoint Hunt, then Stan still could have enough left to let it all go for last fight and then put closure to his career. But Stan himself admits he can't get up for it like he used to. I hope he pushes himself and has that retirement fight, just to put a full stop to his fighting career, whomever it may be that he fights.
A young Stan stops Hunt with low kicks or outsmarts him to a decision.
Stan is well past his prime. He knows that over the last few years he has dropped off, and can't complete at the absolute high level. Hunt is in the top 10 in the world so it's a big ask. Better to fight Mo Smith and get some revenge on his earlier loss. It will probably mean a lot more to Stan to beat Mo Smith than Hunt anyway.
i would like to see stan go out with a bang and to see him fight
an international top ten kickboxer eg.hoost lebanner not just
anyone.these are the type of fighters which such a mane event should have.

The Stan retirement fight is starting to concern me.
It's been talked about for at least a couple of years.
I just really hope it eventuates with a worthwile opponent.
I dunno, I really think Stan deserves a huge celebratory event and hope that it isn't left for too long.
It was mentioned on ax that it might be on in March 2003. Let's hope it happens, and against Smith.
would anyone now why there has been a delay on such a blockbuster event?is it the promoters who ever that might be,or is it the purse.
thanks

I would have to say as a revenge fight, there could be no better match up than Stan V's Grecco, there is so much history there! I believe it would be a great fight to watch.
What do you guys think?

Which promoter will payup to $80,000to $100,000 for a fight of two fighters at there end of there fighting career it would be ludicrous, unless they get a sponsor who is willing to back them
there is No Money in Kickboxing sponsors don't want to know you..beleive me it is hard to get sponsors for kickboxing.
At such a high level..
