If it's Boxing rules only, I think Australia's best would defeat Australia's best kickboxers.
Tarik did say that he wanted kickboxing allowed. Remember he said that boxers should be able to learn how to kick.
Anyway, if kicking is allowed then I think the kickboxers would win easily. Lowkicks to the shins would be murder to those not used to them.
For those of you that wern't at Tarik's last show, Tarik publically offered Jeff Fenech a challenge to put up 5 of his best Boxers up against 5 Kickboxers. And Tarik said he's willing to put up a 1 Million dollar winner take all bet. Anyway, It was something like that.
Maybe someone with more info can fill us in a little better.

Tarik did mention the rules... he said that it will be kickboxing rules... the kickboxers are allowed to kick and if the boxers want to try to kick, they are welcome to. Those were Tarik's words. Whether this card can be matched is another question, I'd like to see it as this is a question that has long be bandied about the traps - who would win? In the past we have seen kickboxers make successful transitions to boxing (Adam Watt, Paul Briggs, Sam Soliman, Tosca Petridis...) and some boxers to kickboxing (Lester Ellis, Stuart Ritchie, Marty Fogas...) though we are yet to have a show that pits one against the other... another interesting way to do it would be under something similar to the Shidokan format whereas the first round is JUST boxing, the second round is KICKBOXING...or to make it FAIRER on the boxers, perhaps just allow ABOVE WAIST kicks only, thus negating the use of kicks to the legs where all boxers will come unstuck...
It's a sticky one... but money sometimes breaks down rules :)

I think the rules will be the major stumbling block to this happening, still lets put on our matchmakers hat and have some fun with possible matchups :
Chapman Vs Schaffer
Forrester Vs Ben Rabah
Behic Vs Mcleod
Parr Vs Bika
Ozkan Vs Green
Zambidis Vs Hamdan
Paul Briggs -> Number One!

Hi remy, Graham and Holland aren't Team Fenech fighters. The Chief has fought a few Boxing matches recently and done quite well, still think Meehan would have too much experience if th kicks were left at home.

I didn't realise that it was only team fenech fighters. Only because some of the fighters mentioned above weren't team Solak fighters. Who could we put up against the Hussein brothers?

I spoke to Nader and he said he will definetly NOT fight in kickboxing.
I reckon a boxing fight would be fair.

I see your point Remy, but most of those guys at least at one time or another have been on a Tarik Solak promotion.
Not sure about the Hussein's as they are very light, although they do like taking on Thai's but unfortunately for them the Thai's in Kickboxing are the best in the World, as opposed to the Taxi drivers they are used to.
