LONDON: British boxing trainer George Francis has been found dead in his home here, the BBC have reported.
Francis, 73, one of the most respected figures in British boxing having guided the likes of Frank Bruno and John Conteh to world titles, was found hanged.
Conteh, a former world light-heavyweight champion, told the BBC that Francis had been his "mentor".
Francis had recently suffered the double blow of seeing both his wife Joan and son Simon die from cancer.
