okay guys

it's really happening now we have the main line up pretty well worked out and the poster will be ready in about a week or so. the name for the show is hopefully going to be "ADRENALIN 1" implying correctly that there will be follow up shows. as far as i know george has assured me that the show has WMC sanctioning and the line up goes like this:

main events:

ben spivak (don's gym) Vs justin gibbons (sunshine coast thai boxing)

brett franklin (don's gym) Vs the bull (boonchu gym)

semi mains:

caroline aebersold (JTS Muaythai) Vs cant remember name (sunshine coast thaiboxing)

chris collard (don's gym) Vs brad aird (boonchu gym)

undercard:
mark cimdins (JTS Muaythai)
richard allan (Sityodtong)
roni sityodtong (Sityodtong)
simon hughes (JTS Muaythai)

as well as fighters from laos "tooheys gym"., Im's cambodian "kun khmer boxing gym". plus more... including an MMA demo and a traditional Wai Kru Ram Muay demo etc.

i have also been informed that george is sparing no expense for this show and i trying to get the Carlton Crest Hotel in ALBERT PARK for the show. so it will be done in serious style. get behind this show wholeheartedly and i know for sure, there will be more.

keep you posted

hey guys,

thanks for all your positive comments about the show. george is happy to hear that his efforts are being appreciated. i'm sorry about the first post i made, as i assumed that everyone knew that the fight will be held on OCT 22nd 2004... anyway i'll try to answer all of the questions you have asked in order: here goes then...

GLASS JAW - collard Vs aird 72 kg full thai.

JANER - talk to promoter for free tix, but with the amount of cash required to bring down two QLD teams plus trainers i think the budget will be too tight to give out heaps of freebees, but a comp of some sort may be an idea to win some tix... who knows i'll talk to him.

TYLER - brett has had 20 fights. 14 in thailand. he trained and fought out of Sang Tien Noi's gym there. he is fighting for a WMC Aust title on JNI's show next friday (20th AUG) but his opponent for Adrenalin 1 is not eligable to fight for the title if brett wins it. i'm not exactly sure how many fights you have to have had to fight for a WMC aust title but it is more than what bull has had i think.

ASHHH - yes mangos is fighting on the undercard of this show. mangos has had a slow start to his fighting career, but is now starting to find his rhythm a bit. he had a well timed win recently which has helped with his confidence and commitment to his training. mangos (richard allan) is an unknown at the moment with not many fights, but he has all the right attributes to be a champion fighter if he trains hard and fights more. hopefully on this show he will produce good things, and will continue to rise among the ranks in australian muaythai.

secondly - there isn't much info on the bull. as far as i know he's had about 7 or 8 fights, which i think he has won all if not most of them. we have been assured that he is a strong fighter and despite the big experience difference, will give brett a good fight/challenge.

again thank you for all your support.

regards

ohh yeah i forgot to post,

caroline aebersold's opponents name is Justine Keen.

caroline is becoming a good fighter with sharp thai style skills. she fought on a recent WMC "muaythai against drugs" show in singapore and smashed her singaporian opponent. she is trainig hard for this fight and we hope to get her another fight interstate before this show. she has her sights set on a title before she retires and with her devotion to training i have no doubts that she win one. good luck slimey!!!

Sounds promising. John Purcell, Mark Wallace and Michael Noakes from the Young Bulls and Viking gym, would have also been great additions to the line up too.

I think Aird will be too strong for Collard.

And how did Caroline end up with with a slightly disturbing nickname like Slimey?<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

hey guys,

okay first things first.

- george kolovos now controls the australian rights to Thailands "brute force" energy drink. so the show will now be called the "Brute Force Challenge".

- i couldnt remember the bulls name before but it is Malcom Scott (boonchu) 79kg.

- the poster should be ready for your viewing this week.

- brett franklin is now the new light heavyweight WMC aust champion. with a line up like this one - franklin, collard, aird, spivak. i think you'll agree with the promoter - george... it will melbourne's "show of the year".

sorry harls, like mei hua has said - cant tell... slimey's so sensetive about it. she wont even let me call her Caroline "The Slimey One" Aebersold on the poster. (so i guess i'll just have to post it on here instead) she probably crack it at me for even writing this. fortunately shes away for a week so she'll probably have calmed down a bit by the time i see her. (note to slimey - remember i'm looking after your house and dogs this week, so you'll have to be nice to me... he he he)

anyway i'll be seeing the promoter tomorrow with don and we'll be discussing the finer details. so as he makes the decisions, i'll keep you posted

regards to all

Collard may still be recouperating after his fight with DEVANNA.

Around Sep 18th i think, under pro boxing rules.

Aird will be super tough, but i like Collard.

About time MuayThai hit Melbourne let them see how the real men fight.

You know it makes me real dissapointed when I see posts like this hanging .... on Victorians. There are a small bunch of people working to try and promote the sport and trying to do it without losing our nuts because at this time there is just not the financial support from the paying punter to allow promoters to put full MT shows on. Educating and exposing fans who would normally attend other fighting formats is a long and slow process in order to build up the base of appreciation - smart arse comments really do not inspire us or them but support and mutual respect does. Perhaps if some if the interstaters bought some of their fighters down to showcase the best MT has to offer rather than a "us vs them" approach then we could inspire more to take up the sport - as it is we face huge competition for support from not only other martial arts such as MMA, BJJ, KB, knock down karate but a lot of other sports in Victoria.

So before taking pot shots at the Vics think like the AFL did in establishing the national game in its traditionally weaker states and emulate then by working together and supporting developing states to showcase MT Australia wide.

hey guys,

the first poster i did is in blitz mag now and the final poster is up all over melbourne. the undercard is being matched up locally and is still in the process. the main card is all locked in, except for brett franklin who we still desperately need an opponent for. any trainers out there who have fighters at 78/79kg and would like to have a crack at brett under full thai rules please feel free to email me from my name at the side of this post. brett is the current WMC light heavyweight Champion, with 21 fights under his belt. if you guys have anyone at all we want to talk to you. QLD fighters would be a bonus, as we're already bringing a QLD team down.

talk soon

Tao,

Any chance of posting the final BRUTE FORCE CHALLENGE fight poster on this forum?

to you talk like you have been there and done that your boys are not even c grade fighters don't worry about muay thai fighting you have to have a big heart and know how to take a punch and a kick bob jones tarik solak john scida have all introduced muay thai into victoria its a slow process and will get its own crowd but we don't need cock heads like you telling us victoria that we are not real fighters because when it comes to hearts your's is about as big as a pea so let the sport grow as it is without your bull****

hey donny,

as far as getting the poster on the site is concerned - i tried to do it once before on a different thread and i couldn't seem to get the poster to appear. after considerable help from paul c, i still couldn't get it right so i've given up on trying. after all i'm a thaiboxer, and my trainers syllabus for some reason overlooked computer literacy classes... but my switch left roundhouse to the monitor improved considerably after trying to uplink posters.
