I got to the Town Hall in time for the Gurkan Vs Arthur fight, so i don't know how the rest of the night was...but the last two fights were awersome.
Gurkan was very fired up, and got right up in Arthurs face before the fight. He hit arthur with some huge right hands, and worked arthurs lead leg nicely. At the end of the fifth round it was clear Gurkan was well on his way to an easy points win. Arthur had to do something special to pull of a win, but it didn't happen. Gurkan looked confident, but i don't think he was at his best. Full credit to arthur, his chin is incredible and it will be a shame if he retires now.
In the last bout of the night, Zambidis was fantastic in his knock out victory over Jenk. Jenk seemed slow an unsure at times, i never seem him like that before. But he has never fought anyone as good as zambidis. Jenk only seemed to fire up when iron mike broke his nose badly, but zambidis keep his head and controled the fight eventully ko'ing jenk with a right kick to the head.
Iron Mike is the real deal, his hands are fast, his boxing skills are great, his kicking very strong and his defence tonight was second to none. I think he is a huge chance to take out K1 Max.

I agree, Mike Zambidis shows he has it all. Not only devestating punches, but his kicks are dangerous, his movement is great, and his defense was perfect, he did not take a single clean head shot last night despite how many punches and high kicks Jenk threw. Zambidis keeps winning me over, he is the most exciting and best lighter weight figher I have seen.

Well - what a show
I must say - up until last night I was not a great Ozkan fan - but he has finaly proved to be a great sportsman - he convinclingly beat the **** out of Arthur - simply too powerful and experienced, I must say that Arthur sure can take a beating! He got flogged and still came back for more - he simply didn't fire up - I think he really felt the first few bombs from Ozkan which may have spooked him a little. Great fight, good on you Ozkan, you words and actions last night are what the sport really needs, you can become a respectable ambasator of the sport with the right attitude.
And to the fight of the night. Zambidis simply played with Behic for the whole six rounds until Behic could take no more. Zam was in a different class altogether. It was amazing to see Zam 'egg on' Behic to lay into him, which Behic did, only to watch Zam take everything - and then simply trun around and blast Behic with lethal punches and kicks as if to say "thats how you do it" - okay try again -
Behic had no answer to the onslaught and I believe Zam could have finished it early on but wanted to put on a show. Good try Behic but no hope this time.
It was good to hear Solak speak about uniting different cultures within the crowd, we need to come together and support the fighters regardless of race to ensure kickboxing continues into the future.
Overrall a great night.

What a night. The 2 main events were the best we have seen. Gurkan Ozkan once again has proven to be one of the best fighters around defeating Arthur Easily, but i think Gurkan can do alot better then what we saw last night, it was unbelivable attidude from him which the crowd really loved. He kissed him at the start and then pushed him away that was very funny i thought. But Gurkan showed to much power in his hands, he was just too good well done. Mike Zambidis, that guy is a champion, he was just too quick and strong for Behic, but give credit to Behic for standing up too those huge punches. Great show once again, well done to Gurkan Ozkan and Mike Zambidis, there would be no excitement without these top fighters on the night. I hope we see these two alot more in Melbourne.

Hi guys Mike left yesterday for greece where he will go for a few days vacation. I reckon he deserves it huh? At the end of September Mike is fighting in Holland for the lightweight championship under Thai rules! And for those who didnt know, Mike won the King of the Ring in Italy under thai rules. Three guys went down on the same night. That proves how much Mike has been training with knees which makes him extremely dangerous and ready for the K1. I'm coming with Mike from Greece around the 20th of November so he is ready for the big one!
Gurkan congrats but i still think that Arthur had a chance if he believed in himself a bit more. 8 rounds it would have been interesting cause if u guys noticed it Gurkan almost went down after one of arthur's kicks.

Thai Boxer... Arthur lost every round. If you gave Ozkan 2 more rounds, ARrthur would of been retired in Hospital. Thank god that Arthur has a great chin. DID YOU GUYS SEE THE HEAD KICK FROM OZKAN??? wow that was new!
Gurkan the best fighter to watch!

Mike fought under modified Thai rules which allows knees and limited grappling. Muay Thai rules allows elbows and doesn't break up grapples as fast. There is a big difference.

Prince Amir is long past his best, Zambidis would beat him. A rematch against Baris would be interesting though, but I still believe Zambbidis would beat him again.
I would like to see him fight Ryan Simson or Masato (spelling??) from Japan.
