Wow, what a crazy night it was! I actually thought I was a movie star amongst the actors, I even spoke to Chopper Reed! And as for the movie, Stan is excellent. Great moves and look very cool dressed up in his Black & Blue clothing!
I loved the start of it when you see him hitting the body bag! That looked great.
I would like to say thank you to Blitz Publications for the opportunity of winning the passes! and Thanks Megan Gamble for the friendly emails!
regards
JANER

Janer,
Trojan Warrior was shot in Melbourne wasn't it?
Did you recognize any parts of Melbourne in any of the scenes?

Hi there,
I posted a message about the film last week, a few days after the premiere, but it seems that it hasn't worked...very strange!
Anyway, the opening night screening was fantastic, jam packed full of the 'who's who' in Melbourne as well as the cast and crew of the film. Glad to see you had a good night Janer, I thoroughly enjoyed myself too.
I spoke to Stan after the screening and he was most eager to see what I thought of the film. He also said how much he enjoyed doing the live chat, so that was great to hear!
I must confess I was surprised at how good Stan was! I know, I know, I didn't tell him that, but I did go into the screening a little bit sceptical of his acting abilities. However, when I emerged I was entirely convinced he was better than some of the trained actors in the film - and that's saying something! I am wondering if any of you have seen the film and agree with me? I wish Stan all the best with his movie career, the fight scenes were great as was the opening scene with Stan paying out on the bag.
The film has been released in selected cinemas around Melbourne, mainly the Hoyts and Village chains. It opens in Adelaide this week, and Queensland as well I think. It is only screening for a limited time, so go and see it asap!
Melbourne does feature strongly in the film, areas including Crown Casino, the CBD, the Docks and St Kilda are the backdrops to many a scene. With an almost all Australian cast, it's great to see such home grown talent featuring in big screen films and although Trojan Warrior is no cinematic masterpiece, it is worth viewing if you are a 'Stan fan' or supporter of kickboxing in general. At this point in time it's the only way to see Stan back in action!
Anyway, that's enough for me today, sorry this post took so long to happen but I thought it was all taken care of last week! For those attending the big fight tonight enjoy yourselves and I'll be there cheering for Jenk!
Regards,
Megan
