Guys,
Does anyone know what the Brett 'The Butcher' Zanchetta weighs in at? I figure he is a super heavy weight now (used to be cruiserweight years ago I think).
I saw his latest fight against Fabre from France and I recalled that he has pretty much destroyed all of his oponents within a couple of rounds in Brisbane in recent times.
Two questions.
Is he in the same weight class as Chrisopolidis and (assuming he is) don't you reckon this would be an awesome fight?
If not - who in Australia can give him a good fight at this point?
K1 or modified Thai rules - or full thai for that matter.
Cheers,
CharlieA

I second that sooty. The guy he fought at evolution was a joke and if he ever comes across Peter Sampson he will know what it's like to be butchered.

Sooty,
I'd love to see Sampson Vs Slovinski.
I reckon that would be a great fight. Both have got great kicks, and look about the same size and weight.

BUTCHER V SLOWINSKI!!!!!!!!!!

Yes...I would have to agree. The last 3-4 of his opponents
have been abit outclassed.
Butcher vs
Slowinski( should be around the same weight and butcher is supposed to be ranked WMC # 1 heavyweight in Australia )
Chrisopolidis( both big leg kickers )
Peter Sampson ( tall with good array of kicks )
It would be good to see Butcher go for a WMC heavyweight title against any of these guys
Even give big Mitch "man dingo" OHello a go.
Would like to see this at the next Evolution card or sooner.
I am not sure how heavy Shanes Meads can get... but surely he is worth a crack as well at the butcher.

Osu Paul,
An interesting matchup for the future, but at the moment Peter is steadily gaining experience in the ring, coupled with his Full Contact Karate background.
He is learning very fast, but we do not want to put him in too deep untill he has been tested on al areas which at the moment he has not.
I remember a few months back when i was holding the Thai Pads for Peter when he was warming up for a Demo at the Tamworth Toughman Fightnight, When he kicked i felt it right through my whole body, right down to my toe's. His boxing skills are improving well and because he does so many sparring rounds with John Hallford, his defense is looking very sharp.

Lets just hope the buthcher isn't matched with overseas
fighters that can't cut it.Nugget and the crew should save the air fair and match him with someone from Australia.....or... bring out someone who will test him.

Spada,
I have talked to Shane Meads and Zanchetta is on his list.
Shane is finding it hard to get credible fights. He dosent want to fight bums anymore and wants the best where ever and who ever they are.
He wants Raphael Tai also.
Shane fights around 93kgs

if Slowinksi is the WMC World Champ and Zanchetta is the #1 Contender, then surely this fight will be going ahead pretty soon?
i reckon whoever said Chris Chris is right on, that would be a slugfest of epic proportions.
i wouldnt mind seeing Zanchetta match up against Peter Graham right now either.

Fair enough Scottya... but I think he should have a go at
some of the heavy weights we have here.He would get alot of good hard fights here and then take on an import when Nugget brings them.He will fight more regular at least.
Shane Meads .... I can only hope so.Shane has very good combos... and has proved he can take a knock.I haven't seen Shane fight with knees... but training with the McKinnon boys...I am sure he is more then capable.
I think when Michael or Mark said that Zanchetta was #1 rated in WMC.....they must have meant in Australia.

Shane fought and demolished a kiwi by the name of Freeman on Tariks Kickboxing Gala #2 in Sydney. You'll see how he fights with knees.
