Proposal for Foxtel: Fox Combat Channel

How about it guys? If we can all get behind it, perhaps it could happen. Think about this: a channel dedicated to fight sport - Kickboxing, Muay Thai, S-1, Superleague, K-1, UFC, Pride, Local and International Boxing, 24 HOURS A DAY, Uninterrupted, Live and Delayed telecasts

Although there could be some problems with getting heaps of shows on, if this happened, I know of so many mates that would sign to Foxtel just for this!

I think old Kerry Paker, or whatever the billion-aire who owns, old fox, would just smile and chuck all the fights that we wanna watch onto something like main event, an be a bastard about it making us pay for em all, but then again you never know

If something like this ever became an option, even if it wasn't in the free package but we had to pay for it like Fox 8, I'd certainly drop my Fox 8 channel and pick up the combat channel. I've had fox 8 switched on and off so many times now that I don't even remember the number of total times. I drop it whenever there hasn't been a kickboxing show on for 3 months or so. Other than occasional Kickboxing, the only other thing that gets watched on that channel is my daughter watching the Simpsons.


I'd be up for it in a flash.
They have combat channel in Europe I believe, so it couldn't be too hard to just let it run through the Murdoch satelite and then just insert the Aussie programs as they become available.

I would definitely go for that, and I wouldn't mind them replaying programs until new ones became available, they could always replay classics anyway. Throw in the pro wrestling in there with all the promotions ozkan_the_second mentioned for good measure and variety, hehe. That's probably the only channel I'd watch. Hmm.. hey Tarik Solak, howsabout setting up a satellite dish just for this channel and no other huh???

Just thought of something else, how about they throw in martial arts movies in the channel as well, like van damme, seagal, don wilson, chuck norris, gary daniels and the like, to give it more commercial value. Not like it's going to happen or anything, but it's good to dream :)

Wouldn't it be cool if they also had half hour fighter Biographies from various disciplines.

And lots and lots of Vintage fights. I love watching boxing from the 70s and all the way back to the days of Jack Dempsey etc.

FOR SURE!!! But... You would have to have hong kong kung fu movies in there forsure as well! Wit Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Donnie Yeung etc, And Samo HUNG lol, ps

What ever happen to that MARTIAL LAW, i thought that was a sick tv series, did the series go bust or something, use to be on free to air

that`s a great idea!!! The only reason I had fox on was for the fights , if there was a channel that even came close to that I would get fox back on tommorrow!!!
