What are the rules for modified thai???

i asked the same question last time, but it differs i think from state to state, i think the main part is that there are no elbows.

an no head butting, but i dont think ur allowed to head butt in full contact thai fighting now any...

and no kneeing to the head it think is the other major one.

My take is this:

No elbows

Knees to the body and legs always and usually to the head where agreed.

No 3 knockdown rule as in K-1 and grabbing the leg is fine with about 2 steps max.

Scoring for the judges: Knees highest followed by kicks followed by punches.

Rounds usually 3 minute rounds with 2 minute breaks as in full MT (5 rounds for pro bouts)
