Hi guys

For the NEXT ISSUE of IK magazine (this being the June issue) I want to do a special feature:

OLD SCHOOL vs NEW SCHOOL

I want to do a series of match ups between the warriors of the past VERSUS the champions of today.

SO... what I need is for you to put on your armchair pundits caps and PREDICT who would win the following matches and why.

I realise that some of you MAY NOT know these older blokes, while many of you will smile with their memories... but HOW WOULD THE CHAMPS AND LEGENDS OF YESTERDAY stack up against TODAY's GUNS?????

:)Wow! another great match...I am a big Fan of Stan The Man but I would have to go for Mark Hunt.. I know what Mark can do if he is 100% fit and finds his Mark Stan would get KO I hate having to say it but that is my opinion no disrespect to Stan....

I think Stan had to much ring savvy to get caught by one of Dr Hunts sleeping pills and those leg kicks would have been too much .

I have to agree with lucy here...mark in 100% fitness and health would just be too hard a hitter and with that rock solid head of his, he would be able to take alot of stans hits..marks legs might & i mean might be hes only disability

Longinidis far more complete fighter in his prime. Leg kicks would take a lot of steam out of Hunt and quick hard hand combo's rake up points. Defensively Stan would have to be switched on.

In his prime Stan was to fast,mobile & powerful(leg kicks) for Mark Hunt, Stan would have hit him from all angles,chopping his legs then working the head with his punch combos while avoiding Hunts big bombs, KO via either leg kicks or leaping left hook.
Speed + power would be the deciding factor as is often the case.

stan shown he can either outslug huge punchers (branco cicatic) or outsmart them (benardo). stan would be to smart to slug it out and follow the blueprint to beat hunt,outsmart him like peter graham, crocop etc.
