John Myles

Hi all,

I was talking to a mate of mine about some of our favourite fights on the gold coast and the name John Myles came up (against JWP at Southport). My mate says that he read of Myles passing away. I didn't know about this and I wonder if anyone out there can shed some light on the situation.

Please note that I really am only looking for information that is common knowledge - not trying to start any gossip (I wouldn't mention it at all if it weren't supposedly already published somewhere).

I am asking respectfully for information on one of my old favourites and would just like to be sure whether the info I have is accurate or not. If this is not true then I have to apologise - no disrespect intended - and you can understand the importance of clearing the matter up, rather than allowing the misinformation continue.

yes the information you heard of Wa's John Myles was true. he was one of my great fighters I brought up to be a fine champion. his passing was extremely sad as he is not only missed as a good fighter with guts and a big heart, but a great outside of the ring that could always find a way to make you laugh...

That is sad. I didn't know him (obviously), but remember him for his courage in the ring - he was a champion.
