Again today, the TV had some pencil neck, dweeb with too many degrees and not enough life experience, spouting of about the dangers of boxing and calling for it to be banned. The amount that these people slag of at the sport, stereotyping those who not only partisipate in it but those who enjoy watching it agrovates me as they refuse to acknowlege any other purpose to the sport besides inflicting brain damage on a partisipant.
Gee, Im sick of this. The true statistics concerning this issue does not reflect the medical fraternities concerns about the sport. Therefore I believe that their focus of attention is motivated by a personal distaste for the sport. If this is the case then they surely have to realise that we live in a democracy where, in theory, the government is a representitive of and responsible to the people. Surely the large number of people who support the sport of boxing will ensure that a ban will never happen here.
