Hi guys, just a quick note to ask a question. What are the fights you want to see? I'm inviting some of the promoters to check out this thread to put their views, plus to hear about the fights that you guys want to see...

Here are a few from the team at International Kickboxer Magazine:

Arthur Tsakonas vs Gurkan Ozcan (kickboxing rules)
Jenk Behic vs Michael Zambidis (kickboxing rules)
Greg Foley vs Paul Le (kickboxing rules or modified Thai)
Bruce Macfie vs Rex Redden (Full Thai rules)
Shane Chapman vs Wayne Parr (Full Thai Rules)
Daniel Dawson vs Masato (K-1 rules)
Shannon Forrester vs Michael Zambidis (K-1 Rules)

Paul Briggs vs Anthony Mundine (Boxing rules)

Well, one of my wish-list fights is happening pretty soon at Keilor.
My number two selection,

Nezif Vs Zambidis 2.

After the last fight, I think this may be one of the best fights ever to be seen in Melbourne if it ever eventuates. I think everyone who saw the first fight would want to be there for the second time round, so I reckon it draw big growds for the Promoter.

Perhaps Jemal should have a crack at putting it together (that's if he is still training Baris). Actually I don't know why Tarik hasn't allready put this fight on, it must be near 2 years since Tarik's lasl Festival Hall show.

Hi Jeremy,
would you send me your email address please,
I can't seem to find it in my email address book.
I thought that way I could show you some smaller stuff prior to actually processing dozens unnecessarily.
I also have some 'Colour Space' questions (SRGB, Adobe 1998, etc) I'd like to ask you that may perhaps save some workflow time at your end.
Thanks Jeremy

Watching Wayne Parr and Daniel Dawson is always an exciting contest.

I doubt we will ever see Stan The Man and Sam Greco rumble again... What a shame.

If both fighters could agree on a weight I would like to see Faith Hassan fight Tony Antonio. This would have been a classic battle in the above waist kick days. How would it rate today? Both boys can use their hands well.

A rematch between Ian Jacobs and Gurkan Ozkan.

I want to see a lot more of Michael Zambidis. I think he should stick to Kickboxing and not concern himself with Knees. I dont think that a talented fighter like Zambidis should worry himself about stagnating. He is a typical kickboxer, not a Thai boxer.

I have seen one fight between Sam Greco & Stan the Man (I think it was in the early 90s...maybe 94??).

Both fighters were in excellent condition & strength.

The fight started off good...but then the last round wasn't very pleasing (;the fight wasn't a fight anymore)

Sam Greco won that fight (He scored more than Stan)

I'd love to see a rematch...mainly because this fight, I believe, wasn't as good as it should have been. (And there were a lot of peculiar accidents)

Perhaps it's too late for a match ..... and both fighters are not at their maximum peak anymore...like back then ????

I'm a little puzzled though...how many times has Stan the man fought Sam Greco?? once? twice?

Stan and Sam Greco have fought once in 1995 at the Crowning... it was a horrible fight. The event was an eight man tourney which was geared for Stan and Sam to meet in the final... it was an average event and climaxed by a showdown that was nothing more than a streetfight really. Lots of wrestling and few clean scoring techniques... in the end Greco won by decision. It was a pity that they two never got to fight in a clean contest I suppose... would have been great to see them mix it up in the K-1.

THE CLOWNING!

I remember a few good fights on the night. Simon Green (I think that was his name) put up a great fight against Sam Greco. Sam definitly won the Bad Boy title for some of his tactics that night.

The final fight between Stan and Sam was nothing more than a brawl that proved little. I think that Stan scored more than Sam but that is history now. It is a shame to think that like the Alexio Vs Stan situation, we will probably never see these two warriors fight each other again. I felt that they owed it to the Australian fight fans to make it happen.

I might be stirring the pot a bit here but I would like to see Tosca fight Stan. There have been heated words between these two before. Apparently they faught as amatures years ago.

What ever happened to Gurkan challenging Sam Greco before the Ian Jacobs Vs Ozcan fight. Remember Solak saying that Sam might outweigh Gurkan but his heart more than made up for it. I never heared anymore about that after Jacobs won the fight. It was a shame that neither Ian or Gurkan faught again for some time after that match.

What a pity that fight ened up so unsatisfying. Regardless IMO Stan won hands down and the decision was very questionable, especially considering the point docked from Sam. The time for a rematch was straight away, forget it now, they're both pretty much retired.

yep I do remember the Sam Vs Green fight... I thought it was an Ok fight (it was funny too!!). Sam Greco must have been very frustrated when he fought Green...perhaps he underestimated him...and this is why it took longer than expected.

I actually borrowed the video 2 weeks ago, and I was highly impressed with one of the earlier Muay Thai fights on that video... I don't know what the Thailand fighter's name was...(it was very difficult to remember),...but he was the guy who fought with that very interesting music in the background, and he is featured in 2 fights...the 1st one against a really good Australian fighter and the 2nd I think was against a Thailand fighter. And in both fights, "my Thailand man" won!!! The first one was actually very interesting...a KO with a roundhouse kick to the tummy...(which is I suppose a very rare kind of KO).

Also it was very exciting to watch Stan the Man fight...geeeeez he's fast!!!!
