JWP VS ZAMBIDES IN PARIS ??????MAYBE!

The French $50,000 tournament is rapidly approaching and we have JWP representing Australia.There are are no knees or elbows and as such just kickboxing rules apply.Well then -who will win and why??What would it be if it was a JWP-Zambides final.Will JWP's recent foray into Australian Pro boxing allow him an advantage??We all saw his bout with Fenechs charge Nader Hamden who is world ranked in the top 10.
So who will win and would Zam be able to match JWP???Will either of them make it ??

Are you sure they're in the same tournament?, I swear I read elsewhere that Zambidis was in a different one. The new anti-Muay Thai laws in France is amazing considering the approach they had to the sport in it's infancy in Europe, they didn't even allow knees in the K1 event recently held there. I suppose they will have to go to Holland for Muay Thai now.
Anyhow, JWP vs Zambidis would be a great fight to see, and considering the fact that JWP went the distance against Nader Hamden and held an Australian boxing title, it would be an interesting fight.

I talked to the promoter yesterday and asked who was in the tournament and he didn't mention Mike, he must be in a different one. From what I have seen, this tournament will be even harder then the last K-1 max with all the best middle weights in the world competing against each other.
I heard after the Movie world show that Mike wanted to fight me, Cool. I would only fight him Muay Thai, or at least with knee's because I am not a kickboxer. But from what I have heard Mike is changing his style and fighting with knees more often now so I am sure he would be up for the challange. Just need a promoter and a plane ticket from America to put us together.

Shakuta is tough, I have seen him fight in Thailand on video beating the Thai's. I read on Muay Thai online that he has had around 120 fights and he is only 21. I also heard that the government even sponsors the fighters to train so they are all 100% every fight. I am expecting a hard fight if we meet, I hope it will be in the final.

For $100,000 I will be a kickboxer, a boxer, Ballet dancer, bull rider or anything else that you would want me to do. But for normal prize money I will stick to Muay Thai because that is what I am good at and love doing the most.

The sort of comment is typical of this board. How long has Zambidis trained with knees/grappling and you think he can beat JWP at it?
Zambidis is a great kickboxer, but not a knee fighter/Thai boxer.
Even if he could knee, at 5" tall, he'll won't be that effective against a 5"11" fighter. At 5", he's perfect for a knee to the face/head, just as Cope proved.

This board has too many "experts" telling fighters/trainers what's going on, ie ThaiBoxer. Pull a sickie, what a ****ing joke.

Interesting topic. I see it as a great fight in either set of rules. Remember all the guys Zambides KO'ed in the European 8 man tournament were taller than him and were all knee fighters, in particular the French Thai Boxing champ who looked about 6 foot! Assuming Zambidis continues developing his defensive skills like this as far as knees go, he will be even more dangerous than he already is.

"Thai boxer" your a joke that comment about mike now training in grappling, do you seriosly think in 6 months of grapple training he`s goinig to be able to beat JWP in the clinch. Thats why JWP would only fight Zam with knees. JWP has fought kickboxing rules in France against those guys, he fought guys like dawson and Chapman under kickboxing rules, but no way known he would want to shape up to Zambides under those kickboxing rules. In a contest where Parr has to try and just punch and kick, Zam would turn his lights out, and I think JWP knows it, hence he said it himself that the fight at least has to have knees. Jenk Behic will be a much harder fight under kickboxing rules for Zam than JWP would be.
