How would this pan out?

K-1 max, 70 kg.

4 guys each representing their respective region.
2 8 mans.

NZ:

Choppa
Jordan
Boyes
Dixon/Johnson

QLD:

JWP
Elson
Soren
Preacher

WA:

Dawson
Collard
Curovic
DeVanna

Vic:

Zam
Behic
Alexi (Melb???)
Cope (Melb now too ????)

In any case Choppa, Tai, Soren, Dawson and Zam have each won a major tournament.

JWP runner-up, Cope runner-up, Collard runner-up, Jenk, Elson, Preacher and Boyes have done well.

Curovic improved heaps, DeVanna beat Allan (runner-up), Alexi beat Baris, Dixon is a tough boy/Johnson hot prospect.

Would be a good one i think:

JWP
Curovic

Tai
Cope

Collard
Jenk

Elson
Boyes

Alexi
Dawson

Choppa
Soren

DeVanna
Preacher

Dixon
Zam

Or something like that, winner's can face off irrespective of what region there from.

Nice idea,I don't think the weights would all pan out though.
I would like to see a super league type events like they have in Europe, the very best against the best no titles just really great fights.

Hype is good!

Nice line up but I'm not sure about a couple of your selections. How come you have Chris Johnson listed under NZ but not Mike Cope? They're both kiwis who reside in OZ. Also as Mike S has pointed out on many occassions Zam is not an Aussie.

Having said that, your first stage results would be pretty easy to predict (I think) JWP, Tai, Boyes (dixon just lost to Elson on a close points decision and I rate Boyes higher than Dixon under K-1 rules), Dawson, Choppa, Preacher (though the weight could be a factor here), Zam. I'm not sure about Behic/Collard. after that you can never tell in a tournament because so much depends on how hard the first fight was and what injuries the fighters carry through to the next round. I think whoever won the JWP/Tai fight would take your 1st 8-man and your 2nd would be won by Dawson, Choppa, or Zam.

Like Bumstead I think it would be even better as a Superleague type event with well matched one-off fights.

Sorry Mat,
You don't seem to understand how it works.
Us Austalians have the right to steal fighters we like and call them our own.

I'm sure you kiwi's do the same with the million Aussie heavy-weights fighting on the Kiwi circuit. Let me just name a few for you, there's...........

Sorry man, I didn't realise that you actually have heavyweights in Australia!

Just kidding, just kidding!!! I really dont want a thousand 'hate' posts pointing out Adam Watt and reminding me that Peter Graham won the Oceania! (still havent got over it!)

Point taken though Paul, I'm sure that if JWP or Daniel Dawson moved here we'd claim them in a second though! You can keep your Heavies (though we wouldn't say no to Adam Watt!)Lol!
