Come on guys,
Damn, I can't believe the Melbourne boys and girls won't have a go at picking the winners.
I imagined this being one or the bigger events of outstanding class fighters, that you guys would be right into this thread.

I'm going with Dawson, but Elson will be tough with knees, but remember he's been out of action for a while, so that won't favour him.
Chopper is also a good chance.. I thought that Collard had improved signifcantly last year, but unless he's been fighting in Japan, he must be pretty inactive fight wise this last year as well.
I don't think Cope can pull it off, and who are Ben Steel and Jeremy Allen? I suppose the wildcard is just there due to the fact that they've been unable to fill the 8th spot and are negotiating with someone to fill it. I doubt that the wildcard would be JWP or Zambidis...maybe Jenk Behic?
Anyhow, even with the luck involved in this sort of event, I'm predicting Dawson to take it out. Hoping we'll see either a Dawson vs Elson final, or in the first or second rounds, a Chopper vs Elson fight.

A chapman Vs Elson fight would be awesome to watch I think.
Both love using their knees, and I think Chapman is probably a little closer in height compared to Dawson. Though, unless I'm imagining it, Elson would still be quite a bit taller than the rest of the guys.
Pic: Warren Elson right fighting Diamond Dale Westernan on Kelly Seifs first Judgement Day event 2000. Dale announced his retirement after this fight. I don't know if that decision was made prior to this fight. Dale just didn't have an answer for Elsons relentless knee strikes. Elson just had such a huge reach advantage.
