Mundine has ducked his challenge with Echolls, says he has a cold. Maybe he saw Echolls hitting the pads or something
maybe mundine is just a skirt

This is a "what-if" situation. We all know that Antwun has a court appearance later this month. What happens if he gets charged and has to serve time in jail? Will Australia let him back in?

I can't believe it either,
I drove all this way for nothing.
I thought I'd get here so that I could make the weigh-in tomorrow.
I got a call from Gurkan Ozkan just as I was driving through Liverpool in Sydney's outskirts. I honestly thought he was joking around.
I reckon they should let Gurkan fight Echolls.
What do you reckon Janer?
On the topic of ducking,
I seriously doubt it guys.
I mean, surely after all the money spent on this campaign...................I just can't see it being anything other than legit. Otherwise, why go through all the crap to postpone a fight for several weeks.
Sure Anthony looked a lot different this time, and we even saw a humble side to him. I'm sure that was all nerves, but I think the guy is far too ambitious to do anything like canceling such an important fight after so much of the work had been done.
Ozkan says that Mundine was looking the goods, and he believed that Mundine could do it.
It's such a great shame I reckon getting ill so close to the fight date.
Anyway, I hope that Ozkan can get a replacement boxing fight soon. He sounded like he was in absolute peak condition for the Smallman fight. So perhaps another promoter can match him elsewhere. I believe there is a boxing show in Melbourne around the middle of the month, it would be great if Smallman V Ozkan could take place there.

No kidding guys ! (Thanks Janer I checked the link).. Doh!
I was really hoping both Australians would do o.k - (Green/Mundine), then face off for a unification on Aussie Soil!
I just hope now the media also remembers Danny Green's title shot is still occuring.

I read todays report that Mundine's camp have begged a very angry echolls camp to stay in the country and fight on September 3rd.
Apparently Antwun is on the record as saying he was willing to fight with a bullet still lodged in him, and Mundine is pulling out because he has the sniffles.
He has stated that Mundine is just scared of him and that its all ridiculous. (probably in not quite so nice words) anyway thats the report i read this morning

Mundine has no class and less respect, he was claiming all last week how easily he was going to dispose of Antwun and now he has a cold????
who has ever fought a little sick before? i know i have, and my adrenalin and willingness to win over ran my cold, he should not have the oppourtunity to fight again in a few weeks if he is going to pull this crap, and worse one of our own kind(kickboxer that is)Gurkan Ozkan misses out aswell!!!

No Ghost. Not today if that is what you were asking.
As much as I'd like for the rest of the show to go ahead, I doubt that it would ever happen with such a large venue booked.
I wonder if they'd actually get back the money that the venue would have cost. Hmm, perhaps part of it as they are rescheduling on not so far away a date.
I think I read somewhere in our earlier discussions on the 'No Respect' show that Vodaphone Arena cost about $100,000.........so I'm guessing it's probably even more expensive to hire a similar sized arena in Sydney.
Tarik won't have any problem filling Vodaphone for Zambidis Vs Ozkan I reckon, but I can't imagine any boxing card, other than Mundine or other world title fight would even one third fill the Sydney Entertainment Center, which I believe seats about 15,000 spectators
You know, reading back on what I've just written,
It's pretty amazing the numbers that good kickboxing shows can attract. The boxing shows don't really do much better at all. So if that's the case, I think it's only pretty natural to wonder why Boxers get paid so much more.
Or perhaps that's just an urban myth about boxers getting better pays at similar levels.
