Gday
To be honest i thought the night was preety crap. The first few fights were rubbish. The last few were ok and The Chief fully deserved to win, he showed loads of guts and determination. Why did the crowd boo him every time he was introduced?(becasue he is from Sydney?) The Chrisopolidis Musashi fight was ok but neother of those fighters will do anything in Japan besides make up the numbers. I dont know why M.S kept saying Musashi is one of the best 8 fighers in the world. He isnt and the only reason he gets a run in the Grand Prix fianl is becasue the japs want a local in it. That blonde ring announcer was as thick as a plank, she ****ed up the announcments about three times even though she said the exact same thing over and over. For the final fight when she said 'And Peter Grahams component for the fight will be' i pissed myself laughing. People like her are meant to be seen and not heard. The fight where peck lost was very suss. What made it more so was after the fight when peck got up laughing and Suttie went over and kissed his feet. Not good for solaks already dodogy rep. Anyway bring on the K1 from japan and No Respect 2 i cant wait.
Pele.

First of all, I want to say thank you to all the forum members for not spoiling the results with a topic headline. Thanks a lot, I was on the edge of my seat the whole night. I couldn't believe it when Slowinski was ko'ed and O'hello looks straight into the camera and mouths "**** you's all". Classic. So much for my Slowinski-Graham semi-final war-to-be. Maybe now Peter can challenge Paul for his WMC heavyweight title under full thai rules. Michael Schiavello made me spill my drink on a couple of occassions with his commentary. Example: "he's all over like a fat kid on a cupcake". Hey Mike, don't pick on the fat kids, hehe. Great promo for No Respect 2, can't wait. AND, great commentary from Sam Greco. Humble, intelligent and well-mannered. What a top night.

by the by, didn't you guys think Auckland Aumatagi looked a little like Mr T. I was expecting him to get in the ring and start saying "I pity the fool!" while pointing to a confused Andrew Peck.

JANER lets face it the reason there were blue collar people there is because of tariks out ragges ticket prices thay are the ones that can afford it and that leaves the real funs out of it!
PELE the blonde ring announcer was realy as dumb as dog s h i t she would be better of (if not allready) working at a strip club were the talking is keeped to a minimum!

OMG!! Eating out at Chinese restaurant tonight - ordered something that had Bok Choy in it - 8 year old brother picks it up with chopsticks and the first thing he says is 'Michael Schiavello would love this!"

I was surprised at the general poor condition of all the fighters. Most were obviously carrying too much body fat and were completely stuffed by the end of the first round.
As for testing them for steroids one look at them would tell you that you that most had a preference for KFC rather than the gear.

Being a competion based on skill with no weight devisions (e.g 100 +)would it matter if the fighters were taking steroids.

I only got to see the replay late last night. I actually thought the show was even better after watching the video.
I think next time they should try and seperate stable mates for as long as possible when they can. It would have been good if Suttie and Peck could have fought others. Suttie-Ohello, and Peck-Graham.
I dunno, I reckon it would have made it even more exciting.

I actually thought it was much better live. Regular posters would know that I'm not a real fan of Tarik Solak and most of his shows, but I thought this show was pretty good. I prefer to watch lighter fighters any day, but I thought the big fella's put on quite a show that night. Also the replay didn't include the fight between Cope and "the turkish samurai", which I felt was one of the best fights of the night. As for Paul, I don't think he looked small compared to the rest of the guys, from the balcony Suttie appeared to be the smallest man.

Mr Schiavello - you're a classic!!! "He's had more hits than the mob!"
the kid & the cupcake was a beauty!!
After watching the replay - I must say the overrall quality of the fights was very good.
Chris C did well in the first few rounds - but I believe he would have been in deep trouble if they had to go another round!! - Chris was completely stuffed - the kicks from Musashi were taking their toll, and it seemed Musashi was warming up just as Chris was asking for a bucket of Kentucky - overall though, great efort from Chris
The Chief had a very lucky night - I believe the fight against O'Hello was stopped prematurely -
He did well in the final against the Psycho - deserved to win that -
Janer - you're hinting the Peck v Suttie was a 'planned' event?
I'm not sure about that - yes there was a delay bewteen the punch and the fall - I've seen this happen a number of times, dont believe it was set up - he actually stumbled when he tried to move again - that when he dropped
I feel sorry for Paul - rude awakening to the heavyweight scene - Mitch was on fire and I'[d say was sick of hearing he'd get ko'd by the "next big thing in the K1" arena - the F*** you all comment was a classic - probably aimed at the critics more than anyone else -

everlast,
Interesting question, one of the benifits that can come from steroid use is not just the ability to take more punishment or even be more aggresive, but to be able to train at an intense level day in and day out while still being highly motivated.
One of the differences (my personal view) unlike other sports which do not encompass the attitude of "the Way of the Warrior" is the general attitude of the Bushido Code. This is what seperates our sport / arts from others.

there's this guy he's so gay he goes to my school in year three he screwed a bean bag, we vs his team in footy he always losses unless we have heaps of people away. yesterday my friend threw a mad kick and l tryed. the score was 10 - 1 my way. we have to play touch footy and we have to use a tennis ball thats why we have to throw the ball for a kicked because it would go every ware if we kiked it!!!!
