Q. HOW did Chrisop an easier path? When all the others have to win 3 fights to get through. Was it like a lucky dip or take a number out of a hat?

Personally I reckon it's great how K-1 gives fighters the opportunity to get there through a superfight. And as Joe says, it's not Chris's fault that Japan wants to give some of their own another shot. Remember it was going to be a much less experienced fighter than Chris that was going to get the shot against Leko.
I still reckon Musashi is a pretty decent fighter. He mightn't look that impressive against the seeded super stars, but he's more than capable of making us sit on the edge of our seats in a fight against Chris.
Chris too has come a long way. I didn't see his fight against Graham, but I thought he'd matured heaps as a fighter during his two eliminator fights on No Respect, and the earlier Graham fight on the Sydney KB4. To me it seems as if he's settled down heaps in the ring. Remember the days when he'd start a kick at one corner and land his lowkicks in the other. Hehe, man those kicks must have hurt. He sure didn't hold back on the quantity either. I think we're going to see a war from Chris and Musashi.

Maybe Ill rephrase my Question. Why was Chris lucky enough to have not entered the 8 man tournament and just fight 1 fight to qualify?

They had to find someone to fight Leko when Harraway got injured.
I guess they could have chose Suttie or Graham, but they are kind of Australia's and New Zealands best hopes respectively, so I guess in my opinion they should stay in the Oceania to represent their nations. Slowinski would have been a great fight for Leko by the sounds of it, but I think Chris has put more time into the heavy-weight division and is a pretty good choice. Especially now that it's turned into a fight against Musashi.
