How to embed Youtube videos directly in your posts

Hi all,

There should now be a new Youtube icon in your editor buttons http://www.kickboxermag.com.au/forum/images/editor/youtube.gif. This will allow you to embed Youtube videos directly into your posts.

Please follow these instructions to use it:

1. Click the http://www.kickboxermag.com.au/forum/images/editor/youtube.gif button, this should insert a set of empty youtube tags in your post.

2. Add the youtube clip string between the tags.

The clip string is the group of characters and numbers after the 'watch?v=' from the youtube page address. So for example,

The webpage address for a youtube clip is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=707b3hd5maQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&rel=0, the clip string is the 707b3hd5maQ, do not include anything else after the &.

If anyone has difficulty using this just PM me.

Admin, I'm finding it's taking AGES to load, ie Russ's still hasn't loaded after 2 minutes.

Ok, I went to users control up the top left, went to edit options, the scrolled down the bottom to Message Editor Interface: and changed it to enhanced interface, then everything appeared. All good.

Thank god ours isn't that bad, only Facebook is blocked, but god help us if we are caught on Youtube or any of the other you sites there are around...
