Hi guys, here is another chance to have your views published in International Kickboxer Magazine...
Gurkan vs Tsakonas
Behic vs Zmbidis
Who will win and why?
I'm not going to make any predictions except that I think Ozkan V Tsakonas is going to be as talked about as the Ozkan V Vermes fight.
The Behic V Zambidis fight will have to be spectacular to watch. Both are capable and incredible fighters.

C'mon Madjack, Jack Mackeral, Sooty and Remy, I'm interested to hear how you reckon these two fights will go?
I've forgotten the rest of the card now. The flyer doesn't give us any info on undercard fights. I wonder if Baris is still fighting?
I'm pretty sure his name was on the related thread at Tarik's forum.
Prior to the announcement of Jenk fighting Zam for this show, I was hoping that we may have got to see Baris V Zambidis II. Though, Tarik may be saving that as a main event for another show.
Finally, I wonder if Tarik is aware that his web-site isn't working. I don't see Tarik as being much of a web surfer, I'm sure he's far too busy, perhaps one of us should contact him just in case he doesn't know it's down.

Osu Paul,
OK mate i'll add my 2 bobs worth.
Firstly with regards to Gurkan vs Arthur.. a very hard one to call as both are big hitters and both have great chins. So i cant really comment as they are soooo similure in terms of their strengths.
On the Jenk vs Zam fight. I really think that Zam may have too many skills for Jenk. I know that Jenk is a kicking specialist and has a record to prove it, "but" Zam i am sure will come back very hard after his last loss( due to head cut). Also can Jenk match Zams Boxing skills in close? i know that both of them box well and both love working the body, but i think that Zam will be to strong for Jenk.. But geeez what a fight it will be... i would love to be in Vic for that one!

Good Post Sooty,
I have to agree with you all the way.
One thing that could be argued I guess is that Gurkan has proven himself with the big guns.
Arthur really hasn't had the opportunity to do this for a couple of reasons. Probably the most important being that he has only been a pro for a short time, and probably only had 3 or 4 Pro fights. The other reason, I know that his trainer has had a tough time finding opponents for him, since at least late 99.
So, we have seen Gurkan take big punishment and stand up to it from fighters that we are familiar with. This sort of gives us a benchmark for where Gurkan is or stands in his weight division.
Unfortunately, I don't have this same reference point for Arthur. Still though, I have mentioned it before that Arthur's power is very noticable. Pretty much with every clean shot he lands. The boy also works like a dynamo throwing out nice punch kick combo's.
It's definately going to be a war. I totally agree with you Mark about them having similiar strengths. That is why I have wanted to see this fight happen for at least the last 2 years.
I really hope we see them slugging it out center ring, and only the very brave will do that with Ozkan. I don't know, but I can't see Arthur fighting Gurkan with low kicks from the outside for very long. I think his own confidence and hand power will draw him in.
Sorry about using the two different names guys, Paul and paul c, for some reason this board just won't let me log on as Paul any longer.

Osu Paul,
Yep as you can see it was hard for me to really make a definite calling on Arthur, but for sure Gurkan has proven himself, over & over.. maybe it will be a will thing, who breaks first.
Paul about the message board... "This one will do eh" its starting to get itself together..
cheers mate

Yeah, I agree Mark.
Now it's just a matter of letting people know that this one is here.
I guess we'll all just have to try and let people know.
I'm sure Blitz will also publish the details.

Hey guys, been busy, so I have not had a chence to have a say on Jenk V Zambidis, Gurkan Vs Tsakanos.
I will see if I can find out later today if the fight/s have been cancelled.
Maybe Jeremy might be able to find out as he has more resources than us, I will call him at Blitz and maybe M. Schiavello may know.
As much as I like all 4 of these fighters and I know I can only choose 1 to win each fight, I believe they will be both fantastic fights(if they in fact go ahead)
I know Jenk has been training well and hard but I think Mikes boxing skills maybe the deciding factor, if Jenk can keep Zam away though with kicks/jabs (with his reach) this maybe could prevent which I will belive to be a victory to Zambidis.
Arthur V Gurkan !!!! a tough call, I have seen Arthur fight several times and I find that he starts off slowly, so as Gurkan can some times be over exuberant in the beginning of a fight he (Gurkan) would have the edge in the first few rounds but if he does not put Arthur away early I think Arthur will win this one (points). So I guess I have not been very decisive but this is the only way I can justify this fight ending as I believe they are both pretty well equal in skill (not experience) and I dont really know how Gurkans leg/knee/shin is as he has had trouble coping with checking his opponents kicks.
Luckily we are not on Tariks site as I would be coping it in all my orifaces for these comments...

I still can't believe the show is cancelled.
I think it really would have had an incredible atmosphere.
We've all seen the support that Gurkan gets from his fans, and Arthur seems to pack the house when he's fighing in Springvale.
Anyone got any more info regarding another date for the show, Madjack?
I hope that they stil manage to have both fights when it finally is to happen.

That's what I read on the Ax board, and the post was by Mike who always seems to get this sort of info.
I wish it was wrong, I believe Michael Zambidis wasn't going to make it because of another fight scheduled for a week later in France. Mike's a super-star, but the show should have gone on I reckon.
Gurkan and Arthur was a big enough main event, but perhaps not big enough to justify a Turks Vs Greeks show title.
What do you guys reckon, do you think they should have just tried to get another Turkish Vs Greek fight organized for this show?
I guess Tarik would have gotten alot of crap if there ended up being just the one Turk V Greek big fight on the show.
