Lol at another thread like this. How many fights has Gurkan had with knees?
not enough ..to warrant him being the "favourite" against the bestthai and knee staylist in the country

Would love to see John Wayne and Ozkan fight with knee's. Ozkan has only one chance. If John Wayne Parr fights with broken arms and legs. And even then it would be 50 50

JWP will need more than his knees! How about a double barrel shotgun? Cause I think he might not even have half a chance then.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
Gurkan under 3 rounds.
PS - Did someone start this thread to **** stirr?

allanf ZAMBIDIS is on his way and i cant wait for ozkan to get ko'd.
I think the only benifit ozkan has got by trainning with mundine is that thay both wounld oftraded ideas on how to let there big mouths rum lose.
Lets hope ozkan dosent get the sniffals like his mate did!!!!

My personal oppinion is that Parr is genuinely one of the top 3 P4P best I’ve seen since my introduction to these particular fight sports.
Can Ozkan take Parr’s knees?
I certainly think he can. He’s taken them of big tall fellas and managed to survive extremely well fighting guys so much taller.
Can Parr take one of Ozkan’s right’s flush?
I don’t know. I have seen him staggered, but not out cold before. I haven't seen a great deal of Wayne's fights, but his international fight credits are exceptional.
But there is certainly an extremely good chance Wayne can avoid anything major from Gurkan through use of his ring craft.
So to me, I think it would be a kick and run type affair from Wayne, and Ozkan trying to trap him and land that big one.
To me, personally not a fight that I’d dream of seeing.
Love watching both fighters in the ring and highly respect them. I can think of more exciting fights that I’d like to see them both take up rather than facing each other.
This actual fight suggestion reminds me of the one a couple of months back where people seemed to think that Ozkan would never take up such a challenge if offered the opportunity with a fight against Paul Slowinski. Many felt that Paul would destroy Gurkan. I bet a few guys would now perhaps recoonsider the outcome, after the Ohello fight.
Actually, Ohello V Ozkan would be an interesting fight now.

Superkick,
Perhaps you can give us an example of Ozkan running his mouth off.
I think the vast majority would have missed what you're talking about.

Does anybody know if Gurkan has ever fought under full thai rules?? I'm sure he would, just don't know if he ever has. If he throws elbows with the same ferocity he throws punches, and logically I assume he would, he'd be devasting in close quarters under full thai rules. Michae? Janer? anybody? details please.....

Yes he has and he was stopped.

No he hasn't
The Dendenai fight wasn't under full Thai rules. Neither was Changpuek. And Elson fight was under kickboxing rules.

The fight I was refering to was the Dendenai one, I was sure that was under Muay Thai rules? Well you learn something new everyday! At least I got the result right!

Paul - buddy - just a quick update on JWP - he was KO'd by Chapman in a top 8 contest I think 2 years ago -
Another - lets get ozkan - thread -
My view is it would be a bloody good fight - JWP is great with knees - but I dont think he has ever been hammered by someone as hard as Ozkan, the closest he came was against ZAM - and ZAM was not at full flight eiher - JWP admits himself ZAMs punches were bloody hard and would have KO'd him if given the chance
It definetly wont be a one man fight!!!

JWP wasn't KO'D by Chopper, he might have been robbed, but he wasn't KO'D!

Krama,
I saw that fight, Parr was knocked down and wobbled severely, but he did get back up and fight to a close finish if I'm remembering it all correctly. I remember that entire event was kind of strange in regards to Parr. I remember Dawson actually got through the first stage, but was too injured to continue. I don't remember know if I actually felt that Parr should have gotten that decision to begin with, or the other decision where it was against Chapman, before Chapman went on to defeat Collard.

I have never seen Gurkan do any good against someone who has decent knees and is strong in the grapple. I like Gurkan but does Tibor Vermes ring any bells?
