Sitting here after a crappy week and getting caught up in watching crazy events World Wide I was as usual thankfully occupied with Muay Thai. Had a great evening training my guys for there fights on the next Sheppstar Promo in a few weeks. For some reason while was getting the boys to kick, kick & kick to just trash them to finish off. I wondered to myself why I had ever put myself through such mental and physical pain, these I understand. Now the story goes on but I will get to my point quickly and the Continue...... Check this? In France and the Ukraine Muay Thai has been givin National Sport Status and I think Khazakastan possibly. Now Im sure of the exctent of the level of funding by the Government but there is something. These Guys and Girls are busting themselves up over there are actually getting Media recognition, thankyou Silvio Morelli, Mark Castagnini and Big Mick Schiavello for without you we would be in the dark.

To think that even the Police force here no abosutely as little as possible about SELF DEFENCE, therefore the Army. Come on Even the Americans were getting trained in Muay Thai during the Vietnam War which is a documented fact. Sadly the biggest down side to all this is that our great fighters are only ever known amongst few. Highly skilled athletes/martial artists going untouched by mainstream media as our Sport/Sports are seen as to violent!! Yer riiiiight, and the great point that is always made is "Oh you guys mean to hurt each other" Here is two ripper replys or answers I always use. Do you mean to tell me when that massive Samoan dude was running flat out out towards this other guy in a different jumper and smashed his whole 150kg of himself into the other guy, knocking out cold and having rushed to Hospital was unintentional? Same about Aussie rules and love both sports, but you see what I mean? We live in a supposedly free land to make our own choices and if that is to Box or whatever the choice is yours. As it is to smoke, drink to excess, take hardcore drugs or blah blah.

My point? Japan you are a Warrior of National Status if you are a great Martial Artist!

PEACE

I agree that the recognition is not their in Australia as it may be in japan. But dont forget their are a few of us dedicated fans out their who go out of their way to fly all around the country to see fighters do what they do best. If you want to know who I am listen for me in the crowd. Ill be the one at the small town show. Ill have a weeks pay in my pocket putting money up for wins and knock outs and calling out oi when u land a knee and banging on the stage and screaming out your name when you need my support. Full respect to all fighters who get in the ring dont give up cause of lack of support cause all of us dedicated fans would miss out on watching u do what u do best
