SteveN Moxon Pulls out on fighting Dimos Sofraniou

Steven Moxon Pulled out on fighting Dimos Sofraniou on May 16th. Steven Moxon phoned me 2 months ago and asked to be matched on my shows. I arrange in advance the match up and he aggree'd to the fight. Dimos has had only 3 fights and I believe Moxon was scared to loose to a novice fighter.
If he had a contract he should of known that before he asked to be matched on May 16th.


Everyone on this forum can have a opinion that Steven was the favorite to win that is not in dispute. Of course someone with 14+ fight should be better on paper than someone with 3 fights. But trust me when I say 100% our fighter Dimos was going to WIN by KO.

Really? I was wondering about him? I could see he was a good fighter but when I heard of the match-up I was worried. You must have some faith in his ability. Who have you got as a replacement?

Ive talked to the Mox and he explained to me why he is not fightin him! Its a pretty dam good reason too! and NO i wont be saying its not my place or business! Chicano i no his a promoter, but stating his boy will KO the Mox and knowin 100% that will happen is pretty disrepectful! steve has never been KOd and i strongly doubt someone with 3 fights is gonna have much of a chance! Was pretty shocked when I saw this thread.

I won't comment on Steve Moxon, as I don't know his reasons for pulling out, however I feel sorry for Dimos, who has been training super hard for this fight.

Hopefully Dimos can get another opponent in time.

moxon would ko dimos!!!!!!! no disrespect to dimos but he is nowhere is good as moxon and would not go the distance maybe in the future with more fights under his belt yeah but not now when was the last time he even fought???

Hi Spano,
If you spoke to moxon then you would know he agreed to fight and even asked to fight on my show and I confirmed the fight with him 100% and even offered to pay his full purse if I did not get him matched on my May show. Moxon would call to match him self on my card and then he hides under his managers, to pull out because he has a 3 fight deal with another promoter. How and why did he not know this before.

How could anyone say they have reasons for pulling out of the fight because He didn't know about a 3 fight deal with another promoter. KEEP in mind he booked himself into the fight, Moxon rang me to get a fight and Moxon put his word on the fight. Thats it.
I have phoned Moxon and he has not even had the respect to answer or return calls to explain.
If there was a injury and he could not fight I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. But that is not the case.

I think this thread is wrong for so many different reasons. This is private business between Steve, Steve's camp, and the promoter. There is no need to make public their differences, whether they are true or not.
Personal attacks on forums or facebook is just not cool.

Ok guys, reporting a cancelled fight is fine but please keep the insults and innuendo off the forum. Stay with the facts and if the person involved wants to reply then that is fine but don't use the forum to abuse someone (especially when I suspect all the facts aren't known).

Knowing Vuka and having trained with him for a long time in the past,by him putting a 3 f bloke up against Mox,isnt so outrageous..Mick wouldnt ever throw any of his fighters into the deepend if it ment they may get hurt,i know this from personal experience..He obviously has the confidence in Dimos to put on a good fight,win or not..No no need for ur smart asssss comment..
