Hell, where is the gym located? I know you have put the address but I seem to have missplaced by "thaiways" map book. What is near by? ie shoping centres, massage parlours etc thing I would know.

I though he would open a sityodtong.

It seems a bit expensive much like Sitsongpeenong especially for being out in the mangy suburbs out outer Bangkok. Not sure I could pay that much and be bored out of my brain when not training.

What are the prices for 1 month + visits? Does sound as though it's on the higher range. Will be interesting to read a few farang reviews in time.

you there for a holiday and party or to train ?

perhaps thats why Samart chose the area ...... less distractions for the fighters

there appears to be quite a few Gyms popping up outside the popular areas, personally, I think it's a good thing and agree with Drew

I've trained in a similar area for half the price with a high quality gym. Also food twice a day was included. There was still little distractions. Any idea why he has such a high price?

I'd have the ****s paying 54,000 a month, having to buy my own food and still being a 2-300 baht ride out to bangkok if I wanted to see the fights on the weekend. When you are staying for longer than 2 weeks these things do matter.

Theres plenty of other gyms at half price like Keatkhamtorn, Kaewsamrit and Kiatphontip in similar areas with high quality training and equipment.

true about the prices of the other Gyms, but Kaewsamrit and Kiatphontip are going to cost you just as much for the taxis

everyone wants things their way ..... bad location , too expensive blah blah blah

ever thought about why Samart chose the location and set prices as such ?

like i said earlier , maybe he chose the location so there less distraction for the fighters

maybe he set his prices high so he attracts only the best fighters and not tourist fighters

his gym , his prices , his way ........ if you dont like , dont go there ...... ITS NOT HARD !!!

ring card girls and entrance music been happening for years , even back when i was fighting in mid-late 90s - i had "Battery" by Metallica as my entrance music

so whats your point ?

c'mon Bushi, it's what the westerners want and what most expect

Lumpinee, Raja, Omnoi, CH7 stadiums get packed out don't have any of that... after attending 30+ stadium promotions while I lived in over there, I recall there was only 1 show that had "music" before the main event (besides the Wai Khru and the fight) & it was the Lumpinee vs Rajadamnern Super Show with Saenchai vs Petchboonchu & Sagetdao

http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/2117/pdvd426.jpg

back to the subject, no one can expect Samart to charge very little and then up the price later... start big and maybe drop it later, depending on the numbers he gets attending

samart is a legend and i have nothing but respect for him but no chance in hell would i pay that much...

You are usually complaining about the price of local shows let alone a major trip. Cost is a big factor and its a geniuine questions. Does his name really warrant double to three times the price of top rated Bangkok gyms. Is there anything else to draw people to the gym?

The tourist fighters will stay in Phuket and the islands. For those a little more serious its a serious decision to cut your trips length in half just to train with Samart.

Just so you don't get anymore upset I won't be going.

mbizzle, not everyone goes to Fairtex for the full use of the resort facilities, but it doesn't stop them charging prices between fans and aircon

Oh my bad, I made the mistakes.

Maybe its the food thats worth 15-25k a month more than other gyms? Oh well I'll wait for someone with enough coin to let me know what its like. Hope he is around and focuses on his students, sounds like hes got a lot on his plate with the movies and singing if hes still doing that as well.

Good luck to the gym.
