doingtime,

I've done some training in Muay Boran and Krabi Krabong in Thailand with the Buddhai Sawan Institute of Swordfighting.

Both Muay Boran and Krabi Krabong are traditional martial arts and non-ring. Muay Boran covers unarmed combat, and Krabi Krabong is armed combat (sword, double sword, staff, spear, shield, clubs, throwing axes, sickle, etc).

Bokator is Cambodian and related to the Thai arts, as are Silat (Malaysian / Indonesian / Filipino), Eskrima / Kali / Arnis (Filipino), and Bando & Banshay (Burmese).

Here are a couple of video clips of Muay Boran and Krabi Krabong...

This video has short spear from Krabi Krabong, and Muay Boran:

This video clip has a live demo of a mock battle scene between Thais and Cambodians:

If you have any questions about Muay Boran or Krabi Krabong, feel free to contact me directly.
