This looks like an excellent event.
Well worth the drive to Sydney.
I haven't seen Peter Graham fight for ages.

Guys,
I always get the two Mckinnon brothers mixed up.
I'm guessing this isn't the Mckinnon that fought Slovinsky on Fox?
Must be too heavy to fight Barris.
Are both the brothers champion fighters?

Hi Paul
Both the McKinnon brothers are Champion fighters they both held WKBF amateur world titles.
You should check out there web site www.stuartmckinnon.cjb.net.
Steve McKinnon (the one who fought Paul Solwinski) just beat Heath Harris in New Mexico on the weekend by first round knockout.

**** baris would have had to put on between 7-10 kilos for this fight if he fights itwould be hard for him to carry the weight(in my opinion)

Not sure if this weight is possible, but isn't Slowinski around the 80kg mark.
Also, Nick Kara is probably pretty close to that weight. Not sure if he's in Australia though.
I guess Meads couldn't be in it because of McKinnon fighting.
Damn, that's a shame about Baris not fighting, I was looking forward to seeing how he'd go against McKinnon.

lucy, why wouldnt you want ozkan on the card? Surely for the interstated fans it would well be worth the drive up or down to sydney...
Rochelle
13-06-2002, 01:23 PM
Hi Paul
Nick Kara is over in Thailand at the moment and is fighting in Belarus towards the end of the month the 28th i think.
So that probably counts him out.

I would love Gurkan to fight,it just that he cost so much, and Arthur I do not like dealing with his management...
Baris has not ruled himself out yet, just looking for a back up,I need to work fast on this one, does anyone know that guy who fought Scotty Bannon and won he looks like a prospect...from the country his trainer or how I can get intouch with him...

The fight was on a Paul Demicoli/John Scida show.
I'd give one of them a call.
I'm pretty sure either Jack Mackeral or Madjack knew where he trained at.
Maybe one of those guys could put you on to him.
I do hope that Nezif is able to make it though. I would love to see him carrying the extra weight.
madjack
14-06-2002, 03:42 AM
He lived in the country (Victoria) and his name was ??? Danny Maksacheff... (I think this is how you spell it) I think he weighed in heavier than Scotty though.
madjack

He comes from Shepparton

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but doesn't Nick Kara fight at 79kgs? His style of fighting would also suit the tournament format.
Lucy Tui
19-06-2002, 11:02 AM
Nick Kara would be perfect,I guess he is in Thailand....
Could someone get hold of him for me to get him to ring me
041 328 3649..I rang Ron Parr yesterday he never mentioned Nick he does manage him so he must be not available I guess...

Found my fighter 76-78kg will be the weight for the KB4 supermiddle there will be 3 of the fighters will be around 74 - 76kg...
while one fighter will be 78kg due to unforseen circumstances I have had to make the cut off 78kg...due to the fighter been the most inexperienced out of the 4 all have accepted him coming in at 78kg....
I will let everyone know my full card in couple of days....

Lucy,
Are you going to tell us who it is?
Lucy Tui
20-06-2002, 12:03 PM
I will let everyone know as soon as I get clearances and contracts signed. I will let everyone know the complete line up.
I still think it will be a good line up...
Regards
Lucy Tui
Lucy, when you advertise a fight, can it be assumed that those fighters would have already signed contracts? If so what power has the promoter got for compensation if the fighter pulls out for reasons other than injury?

Hi Lucy,
I'm hearing a rumour of a Raphael Tai, Mike Cope, John Hallford + a guy from Northern territory 4way war...
Can you confirm any of these guys?
Great show by the way... Raphael, Mike Cope and John Hallford would steal the show!!

Hi Jeremy,
I just want to get the contracts sewn up before I let everyone know whats happening, but I must say you are on the mark...
It has been a big headache trying to get replacements but I guess that is the fight game so long as I have my KB4 format up
and running I am happy so far cross my fingers all my replacements are there on the night...
3 weeks to go.....its all happening....it is very hard to be everything
except the fighter on the night, but I guess that is what kickboxing promotions are all about...I have to stay focused.....
Will keep you all informed of the changes so there are know big surprises on the night..

Hi Remy,
When a contract is presented to the fighter and he has signed it
there is a clause stipulating legitimate reasons such as injuries.
It is more or less the fighter promoter trusting each other and respecting there reasons for not fighting,if the promoter feels he
has been ripped by a fighter I am sure he will here about it....
You know for next time whether to trust that person or not...So far I trust what has happened to four of the fighters that have pulled out to me there reason have been legitimate, but whether you accept it or not you just have to move on and find a fighter who will be with you 100%
you just cannot assume....I know for next time what I am going to do for my next KB4. the replacement line up I have is just as good as the original and I guess it is hard to get the same sort of line up after pull outs.....I would like to take this opportunity and thank those replacement fighters for supporting me at this time of my Promotion I appreciate your committment to me and the sport...and wish you all the very best of luck on the night...

I'm picking Graham and Hallford to take it out. Who is Michael Orec? Never seen him fight. The heavyweight lineup looks better with Robinson replacing Briggs.
Lucy Tui
26-06-2002, 09:36 AM
Michael Orec is a fighter from Nrth Queensland original Thai fighter had over 20fights he has fought Scotty Bannon with elbows and Bannon won cut him with a elbow...
Thats all I know about him.....

wasnt there anyone else other than robinson
Lucy Tui
26-06-2002, 07:52 PM
Legslinger if you can tell me of a heavyweight from Victoria or Qld that could fill that spot let me know other than Clay Auimatagi
Another reason Paul was one of late Dana Goodsons fighters and it would be good to have him in it seen I have dedicated this first KB4 to the late Dana Goodson......
Paul Robinson is tough there are not as many heavyweights as there used to be around...
I have a couple coming through but they won't be ready until next year sometime...

Robinson he has the heart to get in there and give it his best shot...
