The first fight was a dead bore guys.

I think I'd rather see them both fighting others.

no offense paul, but i dont think it would be a bore.
they have never fought each other under kickboxing rules..

halford is never boring to watch.. neither is gurkan..
i would pay money to see them do bag work )

Paul C... A bore! ok, ok agreed. Although adding the legs would change the whole fight stratagies. When John boxed Gurkan, he was at least 5 kilos under Gurkans, but John is a warrior and accepeted the fight without any moaning.

Having said that we also new [ just like everyone knows ] that Gurkan hits like a god dam jackhammer so their was no way we wanted John to trade on the inside as it only takes one of Ozkans punches to turn a fight on its head.

So if the fight seemed a little boring, it was because we had to pay attention to our stratagies at all times.

Note: John wanted the fight to be 10 rds, but was only given 6.. That says alot in itself.

John will be travelling down to Melbourne this weekend he is hooking up with Mark Castanini and we hope that he comes back with some possibilities.

I herd on the grapevine that the Headhunter mob do not want a bar of John .. and we know why don we, a pity as Stanley is a good ambassodore for the sport.!!!

cheers
Mark

Don't take it personally guys. They are both great fighters. I don't know, something about the both of them combined in a ring made for an overly cautious fight.

Wanted to add,

Stanley seems like the nicest bloke. But far from Hallfords league.

It would be a strategic mistake to put someone in with Stanley's excitement potential and have it all end by a totally tactical undoing.

Look, I feel sorry for John. He deserves Kickboxing Super Star status. I don't know why we hardly see him on Fox, perhaps it's his location or something. But if I was a promoter I'd be kissing ass to hype him up and have him fighting on my shows.
